Had an unfortunate experience - kitchen short staffed, waitress slow to return to table to take orders or refill water arrived at 6pm didn’t ordered kids and apps at 6:10pm didn’t get that food until close to 7pm which is when the waitress finally returned to ask for main meal orders. Dinner arrived at 8pm we had small kids melting down can we leave…but parents didn’t have food yet. No apology from the waitress just the kitchen is short staffed. Transparency would have been nice to know and a more experienced waitress would have said “welcome to Bubs- we a a bit short staffed in the kitchen tonight so let’s put your orders in right away so you can get in line” or put in the kids and apps and come right back to finalize the adults within 10mins instead of waiting 50mins and order meal once apps came. Made for a stressful and expensive evening.

Fantastic place. Some reviewers are clowns. They say the food was just ok but would have been better had they not had to wait 40 minutes? Lol. What does waiting have got to do with food quality. Knuckleheads. A wait means it’s busy and for a good reason.

Very cool place set in a historic building in downtown Winona. The wings are great and my wife is always a fan of the salads. I'd love a Romain option but that's because I'm a salad snob! I love bringing out of town people here. Jeffersons was the other similarly cool historic place until it closed down.
