“AMAZING well worth the money. Thought that $11 was a little high for a sandwich until in saw it. Easily 2x the size of a sandwich from other places in town. After eating this will be full till next Friday. Not only was the size amazing but so were the ingredients, all fresh and very tasty. Will be eating there weekly from now on. Thank you for being such an awesome local business!!!!“

“I went here for the first time with my son-in-law to enjoy a couple of cups of coffee and a raspberry pastry. I must say the coffee was great, the service was great and that raspberry pastry was DELICIOUS! A second cup/refill was only a buck, and some change. But mostly, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Blooming Grounds. Low light on one side, brighter on the other. Cozy, quiet atmosphere.“

“Needed a last minute catering for 20 people...nobody would do it, but Subway on Mankato did! Not only did they not hesitate to say yes...they did it in record time. I'm such a fan of my experiences with this store. The manager is amazing.“

“This would probably be a 5/5 for me just for the name and the story behind the theme and sandwich names, but they were also really tasty sandwiches! The bread was chewy and fresh, and the sandwich fixings (I got the Tappy - salami, capicola, provolone, veggies & a vinegary dressing) were all very tasty and fresh. I also got a cup of the chicken dumpling soup, which had lots of big chunks of chicken and carrots and warm, soft dumplings in a creamy chicken base. I also really like that the bread "guts" (the strip of the inside of the loaf that is pulled out to make room for sandwich toppings) are given to the customer instead of throwing them away - it makes a perfect couple bites to dip into a bowl of soup! We found this place in Minneapolis and stopped for a bite during our drive back to Illinois, and I'm so glad we did. This may become a regular visit whenever we're nearby.Vegetarian options: Most of the sandwiches come with meat, but could likely be modified to remove. The Jacob Bluefinger sandwich is vegetarian (provolone, avocado, cucumber, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato, lettuce, mayo). A few of the sides don't have meat as obvious ingredients, (Mac & cheese, Beer Cheese soup, broccoli cheddar soup), but it's not entirely clear whether any of those use meat-based broths.Parking: Street parking on both 3rd St and Main St. When we stopped on a Sunday afternoon around 2, the street parking around the restaurant was pretty full. The spots on 3rd Street right next to the restaurant are 10-minute parking.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid's menu, and a poster giving the back story of the lore behind Erbert and Gerbert and their adventures. Could be fun for kids to discover and make their own stories about the characters!“
