“Great food and atmosphere. Attentive staff. Love their mushroom pizza with sausage added, pot pie, pasta's, and the rice coated shrimp appetizer is fantastic. They have great specials every week. Lots of tvs for sports fans. If you are looking for something light, you can get soup, chicken wings, or an appetizer and a beverage for around $15. If you have a 'big' meal with an alcoholic beverage, your bill is going to be around $30, minimum by the time you add on all the taxes....and then there is tip.“

“I enjoy the atmosphere whenever I visit. The waitresses are always so friendly. I was with a team of people (my job met there) last night (4/1/24), we had to flag a waitress down to take our order for food and drinks outside of the many appetizers my boss ordered. That's not usually the case though. Once someone came, she was wonderful. I don't come to this establishment too often anymore due to me no longer working in the area, but whenever it's an option, I am always a fan. The broasted chicken and au gratin potato are the absolute best. Thank me later.“

“I only had a beer when I was there but others tell me their food is really good. It's a nice bar. I like the nice server that I had. The bowlers looked like they were all having a good time. Looks like a great place for families and others to come have a good time. It was busy on a Thursday night in the winter. People want to get out and have some fun after staying home for so long.“

“Quick stop here for a birthday drink! Their bloody Mary's are very good! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating to the customers. They are good for any size group and close to the hockey stadium near by for post game celebrations. A great place to watch sporting events too.“
“This place is AMAZING!! We held a surprise party here for our daughters 24th Birthday yesterday. Everything went as planned the bartender Lisa was phenomenal, the event planner Taylor was great she kept us informed and was in contact with us up until the date of the party, the food was delicious, and the new owners have put a lot of work into revamping and making the Dugout a great bar/restaurant. “My husband and I came to Stillwater for our anniversary. We luckily found this little dive bar while we were looking for something fun to do. All the restaurants and bars down town didn't really suit us and were packed. They have pool and darts and big screen tvs to watch the games. The bartender was awesome and kept our glasses full despite the fact he had to cover the whole bar by himself. 100% will be going back next time we are in town.“

A Random 3% charge (not explained) on receipt. Some chips had a rubbery texture (only some). I should have listed to the employee advise about the pizza fries blah at best, afterwards I felt for $15 could have purchased 2 KWIK Trip pizzas and been happier..7 of 10, marinara sauce was excellent. “I've gone here a few times in my life living in the neighborhood down the street from this place. It's been several names but now it's Cheer's Pub after the latest ownership change. They run a decent bar, seem to keep tabs on the patrons and it's a decent hangout. It's a typical neighborhood bar with a lot of regulars, cheap drinks, pull tabs, plus some stuff good...football nights, live music with local cover bands and some homegrown musicians, and Karaoke nights. The food here with the new owners is actually pretty damn good for a bar. I've ate here a couple times and I'd go back for those times I'm peckish and don't want to make anything myself (and they make a good drink). Simple menu: French fries, Mozzarella sticks, Jalapeño poppers, Hot dog, Slaw dog, Polish dog, Burger, Cheeseburger, Chicken drummies/sandwich/tenders, Catfish nuggets, Corned beef or Turkey sandwich.This time around I had the slaw dog (see pic) and it was a good take on a Chicago but with slaw...it's a beaut and tastes great, plus the fresh cut fries were the bomb.“
“We were in town for a tournament my daughter was playing in. Pretty cool place. Dart tournament was going on and bar was full. Brian the bartender was on the spot and friendly for the crowd at hand. Nice not to be shadowed for not being a regular as you get at most other establishments. Good atmosphere friendly people. Will be back next time in the area.“
“Visit a couple times a year. Every thanksgiving a group of us play football in the am and head to Vogels to start the festivities. We invade and the bartender shows appreciation that we chose his bar. Pitchers of beer flowing and pizzas for about 25 people. Always a fun time.“
“I went there with the boys the other day and had a few pitchers. I ordered the Waygu cheese burger with bacon and one of my buddies ordered the ham and grilled cheese sandwich. The burger was delicious and not at all dry. My buddy said his grilled cheese sandwich was great. They come with battered fries which were perfectly seasoned. The only thing was, I wish they came with pickles. We are definitely going there again when we get together again.“

“This was never a high-class Society upper-class type of place. It was called The Little Dipper it was just your local little bar where you go get a cold beer. Since the movement of others from other states into the East Saint Paul rental districts the clientele has changed quite a bit. December 6th 2022 just last night a man was killed outside of this bar by the police. Just a few months ago in the summer 2022 there was a big shootout right on the corner almost right in front of this place. It's sad to see this neighborhood turn into Chicago but there you go.“
“White Bear Bar gets a bad reputation because they try to keep order and riff raff out. This game is beyond difficult! I really like Angie the bartender and all the waitresses are gorgeous and offer good service even during adverse times and bad customers. Pool is always fun and trivia. No decent food but free popcorn n pizza but its a bar not a restaurant. Security is always really good and I've never seen any conflict not get resolved promptly. People whine about getting kicked out, these arw the people that cause issues and i appreciate this. Always has good beer.“

“Good people, pool, and overall fun time. Granted the bar has some flaws (the bar tender over charged me $5 or short changed me), some random guy was bent over getting sick in the bathroom, and the pool tables aren't exactly the straightest I've seen. But overall still for a watering hole or dive-ish bar this place is perfect. Crowd is interesting and seemed to be a mixture of new patrons and regulars and everyone was pleasant and I'd for sure return. Also worth mentioning due to a random incident in the parking lot a few months ago they now had armed security at the door which was also super polite, professional, and for sure made you feel 100% safe while there.“

“Very amateur golfer here. From the moment I walked in the door on my first visit, Nate made me feel right at home. I've gone several times, solo, with wife and kids, and with just another guy or two. All are great. Many functions, the screens and equipment seem much better than birdi, except maybe the tilting floors piece. Great prices if you can go earlier during the week, but worthwhile even at weekend prices. Look forward to it more each time. Nate has been great for me as a beginner. Not overbearing, but he kindly shares helpful tips, which I really appreciate. Food is solid to really good, depending, and the service is amazing. The guys are always right there, but it's never felt like they are in the way or hovering. Will be back soon!“
