This restaurant is like walking into your parents house. You are greeted as family, and you can tell the hosts love their job. The food is the best Mexican we've had in the Wildwood/Ballwin area. This is the perfect neighborhood restaurant!

We love this place. Nowhere in West County can you get sizzling fajitas for $11! Their margaritas are good. Kids meals are reasonably priced and had good portions. We came twice in 2 weeks time and the server (maybe owner?) remembered my special needs 10 year old's request for plastic silverware the last time we went. It was on the table waiting for him. So sweet. They hustle hard even though they don't have a lot of help at the restaurant.

We thought that visiting on a Thursday would be an easy and quick affair for my son's birthday dinner. I believe they were short handed, and the service sure showed it. With two hangry kids, we waited at least 15 minutes to get drinks after being seated, with refills pretty hard to come by. Another 30 minutes after that we finally got our food.The food itself was excellent and everything was well prepared. I know staffing issues are everywhere and no business is exempt, so I can't fault the restaurant too much. All in, it was a bit frustrating but the food was great and the kids settled down a bit and we had a nice dinner.

Love the restaurant decor here! Each wooden booth has a painted, colorful mural on it. The chips & salsa are excellent! Salsa is just a little spicy & has a thin consistency without many chunks which is perfect. I ordered the enchiladas supremas & they were great! Seasoned well & the red sauce was really flavorful. My husband ordered the combo fajitas & he said they were also seasoned well & tasted great. Great prices here & you always have leftovers!

We have been to Vallarta three times now, and it's been excellent every time. We first went on a two-day trip to Six Flags in late July, and it was so good that our family of seven all wanted to go back on our second night. We recently went back to St Louis area for some family activities (now in Sept) and we again decided - before we'd even made the trip - that we'd have supper at Vallarta before heading home (2.5 hr drive). Seven of us, three visits, that's 21 total meals and seven very happy customers. Next time we're in the area, we will definitely go again!
