“This is Jane's down my favorite lunch spot in Springfield...or maybe anywhere. I have tro d nearly every item on the lunch and breakfast menus and have never been disappointed. The salads are big, fresh, and come with homemade bread. Their house drip coffee is great and is consistently tasty. The bakery case is always stocked with creative seasonal sweets and solid favorites like blueberry scones and huge cinnamon rolls. Beyond the food (which is seriously amazing) the service is fast, the staff are friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. The patio is great in the spring and fall. “I drive by this little place all the time and always wanted to stop by. I finally tried it for the first time and it's a place I'll definitely visit again!I did stop by for a potato, but they don't serve their spuds on Saturdays. That was no biggie and a sweet girl gave me a menu to help me chose a different option! I got the Rooster and it's a really good! I did add salt and pepper when I got home, but that's just my personal preference. Also the price is a great for how much you get. I'll have to stop by again and try some of the other menu items!“
“My friends, this is by far the most delicious and wonderful sandwich experience you can have in the area, perhaps even the country. Every time I come here, I am greeted by friendly faces who live, sleep, and breathe sandwich. It is their lifeblood. Getting a cold sub? Expect it done is less than a minute because they have John Sandwich himself working here who can whip that thing up lickety-split.Do not even get me started on the food. Oh my word, it is life changing. This place will ruin most sandwich stores for you, nothing else can compare. The Reuben in particular is heavenly and delicious. I remember coming here for a while towards the beginning of my semester, and they eventually learned my name within like 3-4 visits. I felt at home there, I trusted them, I felt seen and heard. My heart filled with joy, even when I simply drove past the store. What a wonderful, wonderful place. I plan on bringing the love of my life here.“
“i've loved chicken salad for years but I haven't had it lately. I decided to get it today though because I've been exercising lately. It was so wonderful I got the lemon basil scoop on top of salad. The cucumbers I think are the English kind which are so good! I didn't need dressing. It came with a Claussen pickle spear and a mini buttercream frosted cookie! I love everything! I'm already planning my future next order! lol“
“One of Springfield's oldie Goldies. Secret little hole in the wall and if you know you know. Not a place you go if you're on a diet but absolutely amazing every single time. Hand cut fries, food made fresh to order every time, and you know you're going to get handed a bag with a little grease on it if you get those fries. Amazing prices most combos run about $9 and the food here is always so good. Took my friend for the first time the other day and they showed her the secret menu with the little magnifying glass and went above and beyond to make great suggestions.“
“Food was good, employee that brought us our food was nice. However Kate took our order and was not nice. I had a birthday reward and didn’t know I had to tell her I had a reward before I ordered. She gave me a lot of attitude about it because I had ordered chips and a drink with my sandwich. My girlfriend then asked for a bag for leftovers and Kate was very sassy when talking about what bag, there was only 1 bag option that we saw.“
“Our favorite place!!! My husband has Celiac Disease (gluten allergy). I know it seems crazy to go to a sub shop with all the bread around when you’re GF, but these guys are incredible! They’re always friendly, understanding, and take every precaution they can to keep his food gluten free . This is our favorite Springfield location because we have never once been made to feel like we’re inconveniencing anyone, which has not been the case at other locations. They were very busy today and were still very accommodating to our needs. I am not GF and the turkey and provolone is my favorite. So good! Fresh ingredients always. If you have a gluten allergy and wish you could eat a sub, this is a must try. They will take great care of you!! Customer forever! Keep up the great work guys!Dietary restrictions: Udi gluten free sub roll. They slice meat on a clean slicer in a separate area away from the regular bread/sub making station. We ask for untouched condiments from the back cooler, and they’re happy to do that. They have separate condiments for gluten free subs.“
“They are the best guys ever. I take my lunch down there after cleaning some of the office buildings and it's so nutritious. It's good for me and I absolutely love their personalities. I can't wait for my Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays that I can go down there to eat lunch with them. Thanks guys!“

“Good News, Bad News.Saturday’s special today is Italian Beef. BUT, they ran out before 8 pm, when I got here from KC headed to Branson.I supported this local restaurant all thru Covid before my job took me to KC. My daughter looked forward to SDC. All day long I only wanted an Italian Beef. At 14 years old in the early 80’s, my first job was making Italian Beef in Chicago. This place does a great job of representing ChicagoLand.I can’t believe it the owner is stingy such that they ran out. It comes in frozen from Chicago, so I can’t see why there isn’t another tub unthawed.Guess I’ll have to be ok getting Italian Beef at Costco frozen from now on.“

“I’ve been eating here for years and I’ve always had a wonderful experience! The staff is always friendly and makes my order correctly and quickly! The sandwiches are always delicious and the salad ingredients are very fresh. I really like the pickup option when I’m in a rush. Their late hours are helpful when I’m hungry after a long shift at work.“
“I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich... I order that one mostly, but sometimes I'll get the j*** turkey. I always get it to go, but I live far, so I don't get to eat it hot unless nuked. But I ordered it today on my lunch break. I was able to have it hot, and my goodness! Why have I been waiting to eat it?! Lol ? “

“Six months ago I wouldn't have given Goodcents a good review. They were really struggling post Covid. We have visited Goodcents twice in the last month and have not been disappointed. My kids really like the kids alfredo. On our last visit, they didn't have any alfredo made but the person working took the time to make the pasta. My kids were happy and so was I. I love the Goodcents Original on wheat with tomatoes, banana peppers, mayo and a little bit of oil and vinegar. Very filling and the food tastes fresh.“
“Goodcents, and this location in particular, is my go to sub shop. Its my favorite Italian since starting college in the 90s. Today I wanted to get an early start on Super Bowl Sunday and every page I could find said they were open at 10. Google, Facebook, Yelp and even their individual corporate page agreed that it was 10 instead of 11, but evidently no one told the manager or employees. I rolled up at 10:25 to find a couple employees working but doors locked. 3 other cars arrived and left because they weren't open. When the doors opened at 11, meat and toppings were still being prepped. I nearly walked out, but you know, hunger. My bread was stale, a first for this location. Normally a 9/10, but today 7/10, will still eat again.“

“Have you not been to McAlister's? I'm so sorry! You need to fix that. I really can't stand subway, Goodcents is good but that's a different type of place. McAlisters sits on the fine-dining edge of delis. They offer high quality meats, cheeses , bread, and they offered in an upscale, casual environment compared to places like subway. The closest comparison to it would be something like San Francisco oven or Panera but I really like McAlister's better than both. Don't miss out on their tea, their sweet tea and unsweet tea is excellent! Sometimes I go just for a cup of tea and that is it. Also I always find that the staff at the points-of-sale are always very kind and accommodating, at every location, I don't know if they just have good luck with hiring people or if there's some kind of hiring standard that they hold to but the people are always great! That keeps me coming back too! It's one of those things that you'll find yourself craving at random times. I don't think there's one bad thing on the menu so pick freely and enjoy!“
“Whenever they honor the buy one get one free deal, I find myself visiting this Subway, which is among the better ones in town. The employees were friendly and followed through with my special request to hollow out the bread and load it generously with vegetables. The interior boasts a modern design and is well-maintained. However, accessing the location from National Street can be slightly inconvenient due to a steep incline.“
“My mother in-law and I was visiting my husband in the hospital at James River. We decided to order Subway. We picked up four sandwiches,chips cookies and three drinks. I have to say it's the best Subway I ever been to.Everything was perfect. I think the lady who was working might have been a manager. She did such a awesome job. Everything was fresh and made just right.I think that the only thing that might have been wrong was the bottled soda could have been colder but really other than that everything including her timing on are food being ready was so excellent.I hope you keep this lady around.She made a very good first impression for this store.“
“I got the garlic pepper bread for my sandwich, and it had a bit too much pepper on it for my liking. The food was excellent otherwise! Bread was soft, and I love that the meat is sliced right there when you order. Makes for an excellent flavor profile.“

Our sandwiches were definitely worth the money this time. And they gave the kids cookies because they were out of toys! So they were excited too. Yes I noticed. #2 we had a party of 6 each wanting to modify something on their order & every request was met with professionalism. Instead of “we can’t do that or this is what’s on it”, He said, sure we can do that. Every request was met with courtesy & respect. Thank you for such excellent customer service.
