We took a party of five to Snead's Bar-B-Q to avoid the 90-minute wait for a table at a BBQ restaurant in Martin City. We were seated promptly, and our drink and food orders taken.One member requested the sweet potato fries with their order. but it was delivered with regular French fries. A second request for the sweet potato fries elicited a promise from our waiter that they were coming, but they never arrived. We found the brisket to be dry and lacking a smoke ring, indicating it was cooked in an oven, rather than smoked. The sausage had the appearance of Spam, rather than any sort of sausage, and the youngest member of our party found two blonde hairs in her food. She's a brunette.Our waiter and the other staff were trying to please, but we were disappointed in the food at Snead's and won't likely return.

We ordered the weekend prime rib special, really big enough for two. The prime was great, the beans tasty, and the potato was fair (better without the add-ons). The meal was quick and timely. You could see the restaurant was busy!

Been enjoying Snead’s for over 60 years. Even now, sometimes on a Sunday afternoon I treat myself by calling in an order to pick up and take home to enjoy a nice quiet meal. I’ve never had a problem . Today. however, I was so disappointed when I got home and had no complimentary slaw, no sauce and no pickle. When a different girl than usual, took my order over the phone and repeated it back to me, didn’t think about not getting everything I ordered. Beef sandwich is not the same without sauce, slaw and pickles. I’m sorry to say today’s meal was not enjoyable at all.

I've eaten here for 52 years. The only thing that could make it better would be more smoke flavor. I don't know if they are boiling or baking the ribs. As kids, we would get smoked cheeseburgers. Never had one better around the world. Bucking hay, then Sneads!
This is my first time eating KC BBQ despite I've visited KC many times. It's delicious, and I won't compare it with TX since both have different tastes. The BBQ is smoky and juicy. The BBQ sauce is just perfect. The hot sauce was ok and not spicy. The service was excellent.
