Coworker told me about this place and finally decided to give it a try. I wasn't planning on ordering the open face tenderloin, but it was highly recommended by many and so I ordered it at 10:15 a.m.(!) Didn't realize what I was getting myself into. I was a little disappointed on this visit. Apparently, they were short staffed and it affected how quickly our food came out. My food was a little cooler than I expected. The only thing warm was the green beans. Our server was fairly attentive, so I can't complain about the service otherwise.My wife and I enjoy the decor and the food usually tastes pretty good. First time visit to Smith's. I enjoyed one of their tenderloin sandwiches. Thank God I ordered only the smaller "half portion" because it was huge! One of the best homemade tenderloins I have had in a long time. It's easy to see why this restaurant is popular with tourists who are passing through Bolivar. Smith's is a great place to eat.
