I go here every week mind you at 3:30 in the afternoon try to get a fried pork chop meal they were very dry and old every time I've been there this is how they've been for the past 3 months I then asked if they going to cook some more they told me no that they were going to sell the old ones they had first before they did anything else when I went to get my phone to come back and take pictures of how disgusting they were they pulled them out. they were literally dried up old and nasty when I was younger and when Wallace and his children ran this place it was amazing I don't know who runs the kitchen now actually I do but we're not going to go into that but it's trash literal trash they used to have good chicken and fried fish they really need to do better for such a large restaurant with such a large name they need to do better honestly and honestly it's not the management or the people running it but maybe if management did more than their staff would do what they're supposed to to get their food cooked properly highly disappointed in boomland / Wally's restaurant

4.6.24 - We loved everything about this restaurant. It is cafeteria style where we were able to take our tray through the chow line. The breakfast items were typical and reasonably priced and portioned: eggs, biscuits, hash browns, oatmeal, toast, pancakes. Two adults and two kids ate well for $27. The ladies working here we're very nice and helpful. Staff promptly cleared tables. Clean restaurant. Large and private. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere (animal exhibits) and unique items (incenses, dream catchers, rare candies, so much stuff) in the attached store. Now, i'll always stop here when travelling in the area. Great find!

Came for lunch on a Monday. Food looked old and had very little variety. Tasted awful as well. Service was so slow I stood in the cafeteria line for 10 minutes just to pay with only a few people ahead. Signs everywhere about how there are no refunds and you will be charged for everything. Probably had to put those up after too many people tried to get their money back for the burnt rocks they were serving labels as food. Don’t eat here.

I did not eat there. I was expecting to go in and sit down get served. Everything's pre cooked for breakfast. Price sign was an up so I asked. Three $3 for 3 pieces of bacon.$3 for One regular size biscuit with gravy. I didn't ask how much the grits are the eggs were.. It didn't look good enough for me and it's way Overpriced in myOpinion..

Saw Boomland on the side of the road while on a multi state road trip and decided to stop. Found Wally's inside and we're hungry and this was the only place open since it was Christmas Day.I got corn and baked beans and chili...it was pretty good. My husband and son got fried chicken, mashed potatoes and stuffing. They said it was ok. Price wasn't terrible. The dining area is large and surrounded by lots of taxidermy. Star was their sweet tea. I love sweet tea and there's is the best I've ever had

The staff was friendly enough and the restaurant was clean. The food is the reason for my review. The hush puppy was over-fried and tasteless. The fried chicken was good, but only get dark meat, if you want moist and not dry meat. The cornbread was so salty that it was inedible. For a place touting "home cooking ", I expected fresh mashed potatoes not powdered. The best thing about my whole meal were the green beans and the peach cobbler (and the cobbler was only middling). We definitely would not eat here again and wished we had waited the time it took to get to Padukah.

The food was very good. Had the meatloaf and it was very good. Home style cooking.

The fish and chicken was really good. Mash potatoes were pretty good. The stuffing was sub-pair. I am glad I stopped here but not sure if I will swing back though.

I really like this place people dedicated to putting out good food. I like the fact the manager work so hard. Always smiling I've been in there several times I've seen her doing all kinds of different jobs from clearing tables serving food running registers. The cashier cooks and everyone else just got a good attitude it's a pleasure to go in there ?

Worst food I have every had, chicken was small and so dry I choked. Corn muffin was dry and no corn flavor, potatoe wedges were small and dried out, the hush puppies were so hard I couldn’t bite it..

Food is ok. I just don't like Americana "home cooking". Staff is super nice and deserve raises. Everything is overpriced. Im in it for the pickled okra and eggs on the other side ?Vegetarian options: Numerous vegetables as sides in line or at the grill .
