Delicious! Had the 16oz Bone in Filet with Blue Cheese Crust on top with Creamed Spinach as a side. The steak was cooked perfectly and one of the best Creamed Spinach. Carrot Cake for dessert was wonderful but forgot to take a picture.

I visit this location a few times every year, but this was my first time back in about 13 months. It took me a while to come back for a reason related to a funny story that I'll share with you. In February of 2023, I had hernia surgery that took a full three months to recover from, and about a week after the surgery was Valentine's Day. I was feeling so horrible I couldn't even get to Walgreen's to get a card and chocolate for my favorite lady in the world. So I promised her when I could put something other than sweats on, I would take bring her here - her favorite restaurant. In March, I decided to put on some proper attire and make a reservation, which I did and as soon as I was dressed, I knew it was a mistake - I was miserable. But I didn't complain and we headed out. The service that day was not the best and when I ordered Cindy a glass of Cabernet, I wasn't wearing glasses. As a rule, my policy, unless there's a specific wine I'm looking for, is to not get the least expensive nor the most expensive, but to find something on the lower end. I picked something for her, ordered myself a mixed drink and soon afterward, our steaks and sides came out. The steak was not up to snuff that night - still good, but not as good as it usually is here. I didn't complain, though and all I could think about was getting home and getting out of those clothes. The server asked if Cindy would like another glass of wine. Sometimes she says yes and other times she says no. That evening, she said no. We finished dinner, and the check came. It was over $500. At that point I found my glasses and saw that I had somehow ordered a $300 glass of wine. Thank goodness she refused the second one! I said nothing to Cindy, paid the check, and as we were walking out, I casually said, "I forgot to ask - how was your wine?" She replied, "It was alright." Once we were outside of the restaurant, I told her that was a pretty expensive glass of wine. She got upset and wanted to go back in to get our money back. I explained to her that I was the one who made the mistake, and the restaurant had done nothing wrong. The lesson was to wear glasses if you need them when you're ordering. I knew it would make for a good "I'm an idiot" story and that's worth $300 - isn't it? Anyway, I talked her out of going back in, but she still wanted to check the menu. I wanted to go home. She said she was going to go back in just to look at the menu. So I agreed but asked her to hurry because - as you know - I was ready to leave. Instead of that, she talked to the manager, whom she said was very nice, but rightly, he stated I ordered the wine, she drank it and that was that. At that point, she was upset, but I sided with the restaurant. I would have paid another $300 to be transported to my easy chair at home by now. Anyway, we left, I've told the story to friends and family a few times, and again, I absolutely do not blame Ruth's. However, I did take a year off, but this past weekend, Cindy celebrated her birthday, so I made a reservation and we went for a meal. Everything, as expected, was absolutely first rate, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and they even brought her out a mini carrot cake in honor of her birthday. It was the usual experience, and I find this location of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse to be first rate in every way, and my story was for entertainment purposes. First time to visit this Ruth's Chris steak house in Chesterfield, dinner came quickly and able to visit with those who I was with this Wednesday night. Steak was cooked very nicely and the appetizers were not too bad, just a tad smaller portions than I've had at other top rated steak houses. Deserts were all good. The service was interesting as we had things sat on the table to them be taken off because they should have gone to another table. I was surprised to see that a couple of the servers instead of taking them back into the kitchen they were just taken to the other table. Kitchen Nightmares would have never let something like that happen if dishes were sat in front of other customers. Guess that's the difference in standards.

Today was my first visit to Ruth Chris Steakhouse with my brother and sister-in-law. The food was wonderful. But the service received from Ruben was fanominal! He was friendly, polite, very helpful, and professional. I would return to this restaurant due to the best service I have had in a long time! I always enjoy a visit to Ruth Chris. The service is what sets it apart, although I must admit I can't afford to pay for that level of service more than 1 time per year. It is a favorite of my great-aunt's which is why I visit. The food is consistent, I think that their crab cakes are good, but a bit pricey if you want crab cakes. Their steak is delish once again, simple food but prepared with high quality ingredients. If you or a family member like simplistic food that they know and understand, this is the place to visit, but you will pay for it.

This restaurant is divine, the atmosphere is classy yet calming. My dad and I each got the petite filet and they were both perfectly done, we also shared the appetizer special which was a plate of Brussel sprouts with scallops topped off with lobster. It was the perfect combination of sweet and seared. Our experience however, was made by our outstanding server Ruben. He was efficient, helpful and genuine, and helped us make the best decisions. The desserts are also wonderful, their carrot cake is untouchable in rank. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for a nice occasion.
