When I got my bill there was $8.50 added because my granddaughter did not eat everything on her plate! The waitress showed me on menu in small print on bottom it states charge for leaving food, didn't point it out when we were ordering. So I paid twice for that meal: $17.99 for all you can eat then additional $8.50 for not finishing the plate.

I love this place. No muss no fuss, def not the bougie spot across the way (Oishi Sushi). This is the type of spot a local would go to in a big city. Their sushi is pretty good, of course, but my litmus test is actually Ton-Katsu (breaded pork cutlet). Their Ton-Katsu is the best I've had in the greater St Louis area by far. Give em a shot...

I always order from Sushi Ai when I'm in Chesterfield on business. I think they serve an excellent product. I DoorDash them but make sure you take care of your Dash driver. I love the St. Louis Roll and the Angry Dragon Roll. I've never been disappointed with anything......

If I could rate it a zero it would be a zero. First food lacks flavor and all the tempura dishes came out oily and mushy. Then the rolls lack flavor the rice was stale. The nigiri had so much rice double the size of normal nigiri. The kicker is we couldn't finish any of the apps because they were so mushy and we told the server that they were mushy and not tasty at all. She tried to charge us extra for apps that weren't finished because she believe we ordered to much and that we are just wasting it. The menu says they will only charge .50 for every piece of unfinished sushi and rice. Not for any apps that were mushy and nasty. We tried talking to the server and she became very rude saying she didn't care what the menu said that we ordered way to much and that we are wasting her food and kept trying to miscount the actual sushi and rice that we are paying for. Then we asked to speak to someone to explain why the over charge and she said she doesn't know owner wouldn't give us her name then manager came and wouldn't give her name. So to sum it up food=bland/stale service= terrible. Will only be going to the downtown stl sushi ai from now on their food is 20x better and service is amazing. Correction. That was the manager we were dealing with and she sent a server to deal with us that couldn't tell us her name and the managers name.

So just an update on this restaurant, we celebrated my wife's birthday here at Sushi AI last night. I even called ahead (3 hours before our arrival) to give them a heads up we are wanting a table for 6 people. 1/2 of our party arrived early to ensure a table was ready; and it was. For tonight's outing, the food was good but the service was lacking. Everybody that showed up in our party ordered all you can eat Sushi, Sashimi, Sushi Rolls. The waitress took everybody's order to the 3 Sushi chefs working at the counter (all at the same time). About 20-25 minutes later 1/2 of our table got their food while the other half sat and waited for another 30 minutes before the waitress brought out the remaining food. After multiple inquiries about "where is the rest of our table's orders", the waitress was rushing around the restaurant and paying little attention to (avoiding) our table when we saw her she was giving us it will be right up excuse. 1/2 of our table was finished eating while 1/2 was still waiting on theirs to show up. This was unreal. The restaurant was about 35-40% full when we sat down and about 50-55% full when they brought out our first plates of sushi. Not going to lie, I was not a very happy customer. Once again, the sushi was good but the service was not so much. I'm bumping down my rating for this restaurant to 1 star for very poor execution of food service.

Stopped here on a Saturday night 15 min before closing and everything was being cleaned, including the area they make sushi. Many times restaurants say they are closed when it's that close to closing time. They welcomed me in and I ordered my food. Everybody was wearing a mask. Since it was late I could easily park my car with a trailer, but it's at a mall and there's parking everywhere. All the food was delicious and I will return again to try the lunch buffet.

This review is for their Covid safety. I went it for takeout and I have never been here before and I was appalled at what I saw! Half the restaurant is blocked off and empty meanwhile people were sitting at every booth... no plexiglass or any kind of barrier between tables. Literally people sitting back to back! I can't believe people were actually in there eating. So unsafe and should be penalized for this!

Go for the buffet. Single orders are weak. Sake has no specials. That said. It was mid day and half full. So the traffic speaks to the appeal. Lot of business people eating solo. I think I thought up a children's book about a koi in an anime style art work like the moon. Maybe the was the movie wolverine. It would really liven this place up if they served fugu. Get some tetrodoxin up in this spot. Maybe liven is the wrong words. Definitely come here. High quality fish is hard to come by

We ordered delivery from GrubHub and you guys KILLED IT! I've never had such a generous plate of sashimi. Dumplings were perfect. Even fried Rangoon were still hot and crunchy. My wife's sushi rolls were textbook perfect and large. Even your packaging was clean. Thanks so much

By far the best sushi experience I've ever had! We ordered online and picked up curbside, which was so handy. The Spicy Salmon roll and the St. Louis roll are my favorites, but we also had the California roll and the Angry Dragon roll and they were so good too! The prices are great too!

We usually go for the all you can eat but with COVID-19 went with takeout. The Sushi was every bit as good as in store, it was very well packed and travels well. Will definitely continue with take out from Sushj AI.

In town for work and came here on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was great! The staff was polite and the service was fast. All the items I ordered were delicious. I will come here anytime I am in town! Prices are very reasonable!
