Visited a couple times for lunch and happy hour. I'd skip the food and only order drinks during happy hour. Staff could have more urgency. Don't expect the food to be authentic Mexican.

Go for the happy hour!! The tuna wonton tacos were incredible, and the house margaritas did not disappoint. I will be returning soon!

In a few short days on December 31st, 2023 Cantina Laredo will be shutting down and closing the doors in St Louis Missouri. It is quite unfortunate because it is the only place I can find a proper Texas style nacho in the entire metro area.I am from Dallas Texas and this beautiful dish will be missed dearly. I can't speak deeply on any of the other main entrees or dishes as I've never ordered anything but steak for here to nachos but they were really good and always consistent.Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Would leave 0 stars if I could…. I’m personally a server and I’ve never seen such bad service. We got our waters then shortly after the server took about 2 drink orders and walked away. We had to get the hostess to find the server again 10 minutes after the fact to come back to order the rest of the drinks. When he came back we put the order in and proceeded to wait 20 minutes for chips and guac and an additional 15 minutes for the drinks we didn’t even receive all the drinks we only got two beers and then was told my the server “its really busy” in my world as a server that is a garbage excuse all servers have hard days and nights I understand but a simple apology about what is being backed up would’ve been nice instead of a dismissing “it’s busy”. Personally, I would’ve comped the drinks and the guac and been able to save the table it just seemed as if the server frankly didn’t care with their body language and shortly after we proceeded to walk out.

This place is a gem, a diamond in the rough in the heart of Clayton. Started off with the best margarita I've ever had, the house salsa was refreshing and a nice balance of heat and sweet, and my main dish (steak fajita burrito) was delicious!

There are a lot of Hispanic restaurants in and out of the St. Louis area that are very good. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. From the minute we walked in last night. It was very cold in the restaurant. Some gentleman brought chips and salsa, and then just disappeared and we had no idea who our server would be. At one point I actually went to the bar to get some waters for us. Eventually, the server did show. We had gotten guacamole and queso, and the queso was so salty. I think even a horse would not want to eat it. My dish with a poblano pepper actually was very good but my girlfriend's dish the spinaca enchiladas were tasteless. I ordered a cocoa Loco margarita and could barely drink five sips. It was basically alcohol and ice and really just a big shot. The server would disappear for many minutes at a time as he tended to a table of five for most of the evening. Needless to say, we will not return. I voiced my opinion and they were gracious enough to remove the drink and my girlfriends dish off the bill.

Never asked if I wanted anything to drink. Only a small group of people in the restaurant and they weren't busy. Food was fair.

The environment and service was incredible!! The carne lunch tacos were a little disappointing, although they did taste authentic.

I came here on a date, and I wasn't sure what to expect of this Cantina Laredo given some of the negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised that all of the negative reviewers were very wrong. I've lived in places that are 90% hispanic, and I have to say these enchiladas were incredibly authentic and delicious. Also, the waiter was really friendly, polite, and accommodating, and the food came out very quickly. Prices are reasonable for Clayton, and quantities are great. It's a great classy Mexican restaurant in the heart of Clayton-- I would definitely recommend.

My friends and I went to Cantina Laredo on a Friday evening. One of my friends made a reservation but I think we would've been fine without one because it wasn't busy at all. The bartender was our server so I felt like it took a little bit longer to place our order. The food was alright. My friend and I split the chicken fajitas! It was enough for two people. We also ordered the quac and cheese to share. That ended up being taken from our table before we were finished which was kind of disappointing.
