This is a VERY nice restaurant in Clayton. I didn't realize it was fine dining and showed up in a hoodie and jeans. At first, I was concerned that I would be turned away or treated differently because of my attire, but that wasn't the case. We ( my son and I) were led to a booth and ordered drinks. My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! Honestly, the BEST lobster bisque I've ever had! For dessert, we had cheesecake, and again, it was divine!The atmosphere is beautiful!! You are immediately filled with a sense of calm. Its the kind of place you would take someone for a very special occasion...like a marriage proposal. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of and will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: It is NOT a place for small children.

Make sure you ask for TC - he makes every single one of our dining experiences pleasurable and enjoyable! We celebrated my 33rd birthday last night and when we arrived to our table - a large, comfortable booth situated away from the craziness of the main seating area - we noticed a signed card from the staff with small “Happy Birthday” confetti sprinkled across the linen cloth. To say we felt special is an understatement. Every step of our meal - from the appetizer, to the soup/salad (I stand by their lobster bisque being the best in Missouri) and finally our steaks - was prepared perfectly. We received two complimentary Stoli Doli (their signature drink) shooters and a gorgeous dessert. What a wonderful birthday to say the least! I highly recommend Capital Grille.

We had our anniversary dinner here and it was quite the experience. Each staff person passed us wishing us a happy anniversary, we received a signed card from the staff. They created a romantic atmosphere for us to the tee! The food was amazing and cooked accordingly. The drinks were great. It was overall lovely evening. We never felt rushed to eat. We will definitely visit again.

The N/A options were very disappointing. They offered 1 and it was Bud Zero (which is pathetic). Capital Grille is a very expensive high end restaurant and to only have one option is pathetic. There are so many great options out there now that it's really acceptable.

Full on classy experience from arrival to departure. Our server team, led by Hugh was terrific. We were a party of three celebrating a retirement and birthday and the team made the experience memorable.... right down to the dessert and staff signed card. Perfect touch. Food was terrific but the staff were the real stars.

My Wife and I choose the restaurant for our 22nd yr anniversary and valentine day celebration on Feb 10th . The Evening started of well with us being greeted promptly with a car velvet. The hosts greates us with a happy anniversary wish and seated us promptly ,15 minutes pior of our reservation. We ordered the crab cake, for an app, 1 tasty crabcake, the consistency was loose, and felt apart with a fork. Our drinks , Bourbon on a Rock, for me and Cosmo for my wife, both drinks were great. Our server Mike had a great personality ,and was entertaining . I ordered the 22oz porchini rubbed ribye w 15yr aged balsamic and my wife the surf and turf ,Seared Tenderloin with butter poached Lobster tail .We order the creamed spinach and Lobster Mac n Cheese .for sides My steak was a little over cook which left it a little chewy, but tasty. My error ,was not ordering it medium rare instead on medium. The Manager checked in our evening, and I shared this, she offered to replace it, but I declined, it was my error. My Wife enjoyed her dish to her delight. We recieved 2 cheese cakes and 2 chocolate covered strawberries on the house that where spectacular. Over all a good ,but not great food experience. I think for the price I could get the same if not better food experience, for half of the $325 we spend. Great, ambiance service,and vibe.

They went above and beyond for our anniversary dinner. Decorated table, a rose, card, and dessert. Waiter was awesome, food was on point! One of the best steaks I have ever had, could cut with a fork and was cooked exactly as ordered. We will be back!
Capital Grill is always a first-class experience. We had a spectacular meal, and the service was first-rate! There were a couple of large tables around us, but the noise level was still very low. All-in-all, perfect for our Valentine's celebration!
