Randy's is my go-to for a sweet treat! I often go there for a strawberry shake. Their custard is definitely superior to the other guys in town. They also have endless toppings and fun color-changing spoons!

Good ice cream, however; what is better strawberry fields forever or cakey breaky heart?

Best custard in town. Not too sweet. Very smooth. Rapid drive thru. Tastiest waffle cones I've ever had!!!!

Was in town for a football game and to visit family. Had heard about Randy’s Custard, the huge list of flavor options and the magical color changing spoons. Nice spot to sit outside and enjoy time talking. Service was Quick and friendly. We all got a chuckle deciding what combination of toppings, custard flavors, and sizes. The names were lots of fun The Little Miss Popularity, a guy favorite, creates a smile as it’s ordered. The Triple Berry was delicious. And you can’t go wrong with a Triple Chocolate.

We go to Andy's all the time since it's closer to home, but we decided to finally give Randy's a try. The drive through is so simple, no wait on the weekend, and their custard is delicious. The concretes here have more mix ins and taste creamer than Andy's. And their color changing spoons! We've been converted.

This place is underrated. The texture of the custard is very smooth and consistent, with a pleasant amount of sweetness that isn't overpowering. The toppings, especially the fruit, are usually fresh and evenly distributed. Overall, the concretes have a very nicely balanced amount of sweetness with a perfect texture. The malts are also very good, with a generous malty flavor and, like the concretes, an amazingly smooth texture. This place is better than Andy's, as it is more customizable and flavorful. Love it!

I've been to Randy's on several occasions in the past. Usually after eating pizza or Mexican near by. This visit however was via the drive thru. I placed the order for 1 small strawberry concrete pulled up and paid. The the server handed the concrete to me, as I was handing the concrete to a kid in the backseat a drink spilled in our car. In the process of directing the kids to deal with the spilled drink I hear from the drive thru window the girl that took our order and served it to us say, "God damn drive away people". I asked thru the window "pardon me?" She opened up the window and asked how she could help. I asked her what she just said and she answered that that she hadn't said anything. I told her she had said something and she replied that she was talking to him, meaning someone out of my view. I let her know that I heard exactly what she said. That was the end of that visit. I called the number for Randy's that evening hoping to speak with a manager. No such luck. Their phone number is a voice recording telling you their hours and if you have questions or concerns to email [email protected], so I did that. Give days later Scott Byergo relied with this: Sorry to hear about this Kevin. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this issue. We will review the incident on our security camera system and handle this with the involved parties. Best Regards, Scott Byergo Owner/GM Randy's Frozen Custard From Scott's reply I don't think he's that sorry that all frozen custard purchased by my family will be at Andy's or Culvers from now on.

The girl at the window wasn't very welcoming, you could tell she just wanted to take our order and be done with us. We got a concrete and a milkshake. Both were very good. The concrete had very plentiful cookie dough pieces. The milkshake was very good as well, but needs to be served with a wider straw. Nice little area to eat at, but the parking lot is shared with other restaurants, so was very busy and difficult to park in (narrow, non-angled slots). They have a drive thru, but after getting your order filled, you have to drive behind the buildings alongside the dumpsters.

Went to Eagle Bluffs, saw some eagles, saw the Burr Oak, had a great time! To "top" it off, we stopped by Randy's and had a turtle with delicious toppings!

I haven't lived in Columbia for years, but I have to make a stop here every time I visit, which is a lot. It doesn't matter what season, Randy's is always a great end to a meal. Or beginning. Or just a snack. The frozen custard is delicious and rich, and it's one of the few places that offers chocolate as an option! They have literally every topping you can think of. They have a wall of recipes, all of which look awesome, or you can create your own. I've never had anything I didn't love here, and my nephew agrees. It's just a little local place, and has a small outdoor seating area or drive through. I feel like it's a Columbia staple and everyone should try it.

Went here because it's a smaller place and so close to my house and the price was right. Got an Oreo concrete that was not good and i didn't think that was something that could be messed up. Oreos were stale and were few and far between. Didn't even finish the smallest size and i would normally always want more ice cream.

I am comparing Randy's with another small chain -- Andy's. Both are located in Columbia, MO. Randy's Pros: A more smooth, creamy and fresh dairy tasting vanilla yogurt. More selections i.e. toppings. Randy's Cons: Raspberry and peach toppings are more like jelly than whole fruit toppings (haven't tried other fruit toppings). Randy is friendly, but his hired staff -- not so much. It seems his young staff are not very cordial -- not rude -- but not cordial. We had no one behind us, and the young lady was all business with a "Next" attitude in spite of the fact that I was trying to solicit a little warmth from our particular window clerk. Next to the jelly consistency of Randy's fruit topppings -- my single cherry on my Sunday had a past it's prime bite to it. You know sort of like pineapple that has turned. Andy's seems to have a limited, but sufficient list of selections. Andy's vanilla frozen custard has an okay flavor, but nothing to write home about. Andy's staff is very, very friendly with a can do attitude. Because of Andy's fruit toppings being less jelly like and a friendly staff -- we will probably continue to choose them. However, we will check out Randy's now and then to see if his frozen custard sundae fruit toppings become more like "fruit" toppings.

Always a reliable place to get awesome ice cream at low prices. Their flavors are just simply amazing. I really love this place. For someone who's not so crazy about ice cream this place is a must go.

I am here eating with family. There are 4 people working and one of them has a dog in the kitchen. Two of the workers are taking pictures with the dogs. Two people are working and I had to eventually call someone to the window to get napkins after waiting several minutes. The workers saw me and continually ignored me. I will not return based on the poor service and the fact that they allow DOGS in the kitchen!
