For my first experience with tamales, they were amazing! The food was great, and the small atmosphere really showed how much love goes into the restaurant. Tables were clean, and the bathrooms were spotless! My family said it was a hidden gem.Dietary restrictions: A lot of the food was made of meat/ high fiber ingredients. So after the restaurant is not the best experience.

This is my new favorite Mexican eatery. The bria tacos are delicious, definitely will be having them again soon. Oh and try the Aguas Fresca's I had the pineapple and my boyfriend had the watermelon and it tasted so good. Definitely recommend that you must try this place if you haven't already.

Huarache and Bria tacos were lit! Awesome flavor and presentation of food.Aguas Fresca watermelon and pineapple were deliciously sweet! Tres leche for dessert made her evening. This is a true hidden gem! Watching them plate the food with such delicacy and intent for a great presentation made this authentic experience amazing!

The corn tortillas and masa of the tamales were special. I liked the chicken thigh taco the best, try some street tacos! The big slice of tres leches cake had strawberries in it.

This place came to us as a recommendation. And we do not go out to eat often anymore as it gets pricey. After looking at the menu, I was excited to see affordable numbers. The wife ordered what our waitress told her was her favorite. Some orange looking tacos. I ordered enchiladas. We also got margaritas, one each. As we sat there looking at stuff, we noticed several disturbing things... gnats. Tiny flying bugs came with everything out of the kitchen area. Brought out with the winds of waitresses. I killed two of them on our dining surface with a napkin. Lol. Now to the food. The warm chips were just bag tortilla chips dunked in the fyer for a second. On top of watching that, they served us the chips with random fries mixed in letting us know that they use the fryer for everything. But then we were hit with the heat. If authentic Mexican means burning any taste buds out of your mouth, then they are nailing it. My wife loves hot stuff, I do not. But I was making due. Her tacos were made from roast meat. Like crockpot roast... Zero flavor... rubbery.. old. I would say dogs wouldn't eat it.. but dogs eat poop.. so they probably would still eat this. Either way, not a great look for what was supposed to be a meal served at a restaurant to humans. When we excused ourselves to go pay and escape this hell, we were shocked to learn that two small plates of wet dog food and two margaritas cost us $57.94??!?!??! I know they are right next to a place called Nash vegas... but charging LAS VEGAS drink prices is very lame. I found myself feeling quite violent when I learned the cost.. so i handed my wallet to the wife and said, I will be out front telling everyone on the street about this. When my wife, who is super nice and everything i am not in these situations, when she told the woman how awful everything was, the lady looked at her, smiled condescendingly and said, 'thank you!' Which would have made my head explode.. so i am glad i wasnt there for that part. There were giant burritos being served... maybe that is what they are known for... but wow.. knowing where they come from... I am good on that. 4.7 is a rating this place SHOULD NOT HAVE. Yuck. I rate this place one solitary wet fart.

I have eaten at many many Mexican restaurants and the food here was better than most. Absolutely delicious. Fresh, hot and very flavorful. I would absolutely eat there again and recommend it without hesitation. Their homemade tamales are some of the best I've ever had.

The best Mexican food in Columbia, and I've tried them all.Great service, and great prices. The atmosphere isn't the best, I only gave 4 stars for that. Its not a fancy place, but was clean. And being on Broadway, parking was a challenge, however the excellent food made up for this.

Fantastic food and service. Best tortilla chips I’ve ever had. Worth the short drive in from the highway. The locals are lucky to have this place.

This place might be my favorite Mexican spot in town. Criminally underrated as a Mexican food option. I'd argue these are the best or among the best street tacos in town. The chicken empanadas are delicious. And the rice! Oh, the rice somehow transcends how good rice can be. Staff is lovely and quality is consistent. Make sure to try an agua fresca!

The food was excellent. There was so much flavor. The server was super nice, and since I couldn't figure out what I wanted, she made outstanding selections for us. The chips were fresh and hot. The salsa was just the right amount of everything. Lunch was really outstanding. If I lived in the area, it would be a go to place for delicious food.

Best Mexican food in Columbia! I’m originally from Cali and this place definitely brought a piece of home to the mid MO. This is one of my wife and I’s favorite date night spots! You won’t regret anything you get.
