Heidelberg is a favorite for locals, students, and visitors alike. The place is just consistent with great service, good food with lots of choices, and friendly staff. Happy hour gas good drinks specials and buy one get one appetizers. Stop in you shouldn't be disappointed.

For the COMO folks, it's a nostalgic landmark. Also, consistently busy, friendly staff and good bar food. Sit on the patio upstairs on warm weather days- it's a beautiful view!

Great for beers and a bite. Friendly service, and it's great to hang out in the sun on the roof (summer). Downstairs can be a little loud, but this is a college bar, after all.

I try not to review places in my home town, but couldn’t avoid it this time. The atmosphere and the service were good. The food was not. My party had only appetizers, which tasted as warmed up frozen food from a local supermarket. We sat upstairs. Not a well-kept place. Floors are uneven and the decoration is very old and in really bad shape.

This place closes way earlier than advertise. The so-called bartender waitied for me to take my coat off, sit down, get comfortable just to tell me that we're closing the restaurant. Why would you watch me do that without saying anything when I walked in!

The Heidelberg in Columbia: A Culinary Journey in the Heart of Campus My recent visit to The Heidelberg in Columbia, Missouri, offered a mixed experience that unfolded into a delightful culinary journey. Walking in, the initial welcome was somewhat lacking, with no greetings at the door, and the host's approach was a bit unconventional, pointing to a table in the vast room. However, once settled, the service took a turn for the better. Our waitress provided excellent recommendations, guiding us through a menu filled with tempting options. I decided to try the French dip with Cajun fries, a truly amazing choice. The au jus accompanying the French dip added a burst of flavor that enhanced the overall taste. The Frisco burger, paired with Cajun fries, was equally delightful, and the drink served went down smooth, contributing to the enjoyable experience. While the service and flavors impressed, the challenge lay in street parking, as no parking lot was readily apparent. Located in the heart of the University of Missouri's campus, The Heidelberg offers a unique blend of campus charm and culinary excellence. If you're willing to venture through the initial entry, The Heidelberg promises a rewarding dining experience with a menu that satisfies both taste buds and curiosity.

While named The Heidelberg, it is not a German restaurant. It is a sports bar. I took 15 people who ate and drank their fill. It was perfect for the group I took. All 16 received their appys, meals and drinks quickly and precisely. There was only one redo, one of my guests found sweet potato fries instead of regular fries on her plate. Fixed quickly and easily. Our server Adria was the best.Parking: Free on the weekends in the lots.

I'm sad my experience at the Heidelberg was subpar after all the good things I've heard. We got the pretzel appetizers, and they looked and tasted like microwaveable ones. One of our patty melt's bread was burnt and nearly inedible - the fact that make it out of the kitchen is surprising. The french dip is just okay, it lacked flavor. While the food wasn't expensive, it still wasn't worth the price.
