What a great experience!! The food was excellent and the service was top notch! Ray is a great server that really describes the dishes and offers great selections. A restaurant doesn't make the address book in my phone if it's not great, this one did!!!!

I brought a group of business associates for dinner. I have a severe gluten allergy (celiacs) and made mention, on the side, to the server as I didn't want to make a big deal of it. When my caprese salad came it had crustinis or some kind of bread on the plate. I sent it back, obviously as I CANNOT eat bread, and the server was not apologetic nor did he really care. The owner or manager removed my plate and returned within seconds with I'm certain the same plate with the bread taken off. Then when my surf and turf meal came it had fried onions on top. Again, I cannot have the breading, so as much as I wanted to return it I didn't and brushed them off. I did not want to make a big deal and ruin my guests experience. I could not believe that such a simple request to remove items that contain gluten from my meal was so obviously disregarded and ignored. Not only that, the management and the server didn't care. To say that I was upset is an understatement. I will NOT be returning anytime soon! I eat at many restaurants on their caliber all over St. Louis and Il Bel Lago should be embarrassed. I understand mistakes happen, but my entire meal was messed up and the lack of caring was inexcusable not to mention that I am in extreme pain and have severe GI issues as a result.

We had a great meal here this evening. We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer and all had salads. Two in our group had the Monte mare dishes as main entrees. I had the Ronald Reagan pasta. Another in our party tried a different pasta which was also good. We also tried several desserts but liked the house made tiramisu dessert the best.

The food was wonderful, I got the veal saltimbocca on special with the spinach salad and it all was delicious. Our waitress was so nice and on top of our service. Loved this place and would definitely recommend.

We had a blast and we are definitely going back!Had the nonas meatball as appetizer, I had the chicken champagne and hubby had a pasta meal recommended by Kat (that for the life of me I can't remember the name and I can't find it online either!)...sochiette pasta?...nah, I'm butchering it I'm sure!Either way it was great! LolAs dessert we had the Gelato and some Grand Marnier.Again...the whole experience for our ramdon date night was fabulous!

I'm actually shocked at the lower rating of this place. I came here for lunch for work and we sat in one of the cozy little circular rooms. Tried the clam chowder and the fresh made tortellini. Everything was extremely good. The servers were very professional and on top of their game. And the prices of this place are super reasonable. I normally judge Italian restaurants pretty hard coming from home made italian food all my life, so this place has my seal of approval. (Except for the lasagna, not my cup of tea how they make it) thanks for the great service and food!
First time visit, we were celebrating a birthday. Gregory and his support staff was awesome. The food was great. The hot food was served on hot plates and the cold food was served on cold plates. After working in restaurants for 10 years I think that detail to serving food that way gets lost on other restaurants. The atmosphere was good, not loud at all. Prices are fair. We will be returning.

Everything was wonderful except the bread. It's a small thing but when done right it is memorable. I'm not sure how a kitchen that prepares such excellent dishes can offer bread, partly stale, alongside them. I just won't eat it next time because I will be back. Very lovely atmosphere and wonderful service.

Had dinner at the bar with Gina taking care of us, and everything was absolutely fantastic. Came in town to visit with family & truly enjoyed the authentic taste of Italy that we experienced! Carmelo & Frank were there to greet us with such professionalism and the entire staff was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a wonderful evening with great food and wonderful service. Thank you all for caring so much about what you do and whom you do it for!
