The parking lot and drive through is riddled w potholes the owner won't fix been neglected since new ownership. My new car rim was damaged. Typical jeffco Hoosier from another country who doesnt care about their customers property. Beware.

I called earlier today to see what time they close and when i called the worker was very rude and wouldn't answer the question and then proceeded to hang up on me and so when i went to the store and ordered the food they gave me a completely different order and when i corrected them the worker rolled her eyes and when i got my correct order there was hair in the food all and all was a horrible experince will not be going back and do not recomend anyone else go there

The Manager has Horrible customer service. My coworker and I asked to please place a second order in the drive thru and we were told No. Because we were paying with two separate debit cards and wanted to make it easier for the employees. When we placed the second order online through the app it showed the wrong location in gps after we paid and placed the order we went back to the same manager and she yelled at her and said it's the wrong address even after we used the app that pulled the closest location and we were in their parking lot but before we could even say Anything she kept yelling at us wrong location just to not have to deal with the issue at hand. I will Always send my co-workers to the Awesome location at 1185 Gravois Road Fenton, MO 63026. The Manager at that location took care of us. Please Read this All before going to this location The food and customer service is very poor I would give zero stars if I could.

The Manager has Horrible customer service. My son and I went in the drive thru, only 2 people were working. But these 2 gave it their all!! We didn't have to wait any longer than normal and the food was good.I hope they are able to find some more help.

As one of the few Steak 'n Shakes still around and still able to serve fine in, I was most disappointed. They no longer have a person at the counter that takes your order, a computer does.Our order was placed at 2:06pm we didn't get our order until 2:46pm, 40 minutes for fast food? The employees were not helpful or professional at all.

Never had a more terrible experience in this store, placed an online order took the money out of my account and told me they couldn’t find the order, no big deal , placed an order in store and asked her if the money would go back to my card as I didn’t receive the food, and she told me to call doordash, I didn’t place the order through doordash as I told her several times. My friend whose order was also placed online received the wrong food, so he set it back down and let them know he was given the wrong food the “owner” and drive through woman then proceeded to talk about us loudly while we were still in the store. Completely unacceptable and I will not be returning, used to love this location now it is completely dirty and service was trash.

Horrible Management/Ownership!!! I witnessed the owner/manager loudly berate a patron and her children for a beverage spill on the table. Complaining that the spill was going to “stain” the table. She began clapping at her staff in production requesting a young man to clean it up immediately! Didn’t even say thank you. This, after she asked the patron to instruct her small child to sit on her butt, rather than standing in the seat. I was appalled!! Her disposition is nasty and she is extremely entitled. Why? I do not know! This is the second time I’ve patronized this established and absolutely my last. The owner/manager should NOT be in the food industry. There is another location not too far from this one.

This restaurant does not even deserve one star! I placed order on the app, which advises you to call the restaurant (with the phone number they provide) when you arrive, so when I arrived I pulled into the designated 'car hop' spot and called the phone number. After 7+ minutes of no one answering the phone, I pulled into the drive-thru line (which defeats the whole purpose and convenience of using the Steak n Shake app. In any event when I finally got to the speaker I asked to speak to a manager. A few moments later a lady comes aggressively walking towards my car from the back (side) door of the restaurant. She asks me what the problem is and I proceed to tell her I had ordered on teh app and been waiting for my food. She responds that if I want my food I can get inline like everyone else. I then said just give me a refund. She responded get a refund from the app you didn't place your order with me. Mind you during all of this she never ONCE introduced herself, but what she did then do was walk away. So I pull my car around and go inside by this time I am heated. When I walk in she says "What now" We then began to exchange words IN THE RESTAURANT with customers. She refuses to make my food and in fact her body language appeared to be like we were on the Jerry Springer show about to fight over dude. When I asked who the GM was, she responded, "I"m the Franchise owner, What now B&%ch". I kept thinking "This cannot be real life!" Needless to say I left without food or a refund. I then called the Steak n Shake on Gravois and Sugar Creek and spoke to the manager, Tracy, As soon as I began to tell her my story without even saying which Steak n Shake - she asked ME if I was at the one in the Bluffs because they get complaints about this one daily. Tracy told me to come by their restaurant and the would make the food for me... which she did.BOTTOM LINE: Steak n Shake in the Bluffs is TRASH and has not business being in business representing Steak n Shake.

One star is too generous!!! This place needs to be shut down and the ‘franchise owner’ has a bad attitude. She acts she about to fight you …. Make it make sense that this place is even able to represent Steak n Shake. She cursed me out, refused to make my food or provide a refund and the acted like she wanted to fight me. So yea…. Don’t waste your time with this place.

I noticed this Steak 'n Shake at Gravois Bluffs is open and has dine-in. I stopped in on a Sunday while I was out running some errands. I ordered a single steakburger with cheese and a chili mac with cheese and onions. I wasn't too jazzed about the burger but I thought the chili mac was delicious and tasted just like my childhood. I'd go back for that but I'm not too sure about the burger. It looked the same inside except the front counters had automated kiosks where you order and there was a counter in the back with self serve drinks, napkins, etc. I guess they don't accept cash? I felt like I was in the twilight zone a bit. This is not the Steak 'n Shake of my entire life.

Waited almost twenty minutes for 3 burgers made incorrectly. Order was not repeated. Was not greeted at the window. Was just told how much to pay. No thank you. No nothing. There wasn't a single other car when I arrived so I don't understand the issue. Please get better. This is

I bought a gift card back in August and when the person I gave it to went to use it it did not work. I went to the location and talked with a supervisor, she told me she would take care of it. She called me a week and a half ago to get my email and address so Steak n Shake could take care of the broken card but the card still doesn't work, I don't have a new one to replace it and I am still out of $30.Lesson learned DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!

Its not a table service place anymore, its pretty interesting, but they do not take cash unless you go thru the drive thru. We decided to dine in and this is how it went: walk in, place is empty it was about 3pm, there was a sign with really cute font saying please order at kiosk and seat yourself. We go up to the kiosk and it is all self service, there is no one to help you order but its simple enough you don't need help, and only payment they do is card or contactless like apple pay or google pay. So we ordered, cups, lids, straws, plastic utensils, and basic condiments are available where the waitress station used to be, we got our cups filled our drinks, which they no longer offer flavored coke or anything no vanilla coke or cherry sprite which is ok, and we sat down and it only took them about 5 minutes to make our food and call our name for us to come collect our food and sit down to eat. Everything was made fresh and hot there was good portions of sauce on our burgers and a decent amount of cheese on our fries which were not too salty but not unseasoned and fresh out of the frier and the best part was we were the only ones in there all the tables chairs bathrooms and floors were nice and clean. Deffinatly different from your usual steak n shake experience but deffinatly will go back!!!

This location has been closed intermittently when we have gone there. Yesterday there were orange signs saying the restaurant was closed. I've never seen signs up on other occasions so I'm guessing it's closed permanently?
