Barrigas is a great local spot for delicious Mexican food. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is a pretty basic small midwestern town Mexican restaurant, and the service is pretty good. The prices are reasonable. My family and I have frequented this place for years.
There are so many Mexican joints, same 9 ingredients and same chips and salsa...and the "never the same" refried beans.Barrigas is different, fresh quality plates, real, thick queso blanco, refried & black beans with full flavor, hand made margaritas with actual tequila in them, and friendly family-style service...Go to Greenwood, MO. 150 highway for a authentic Mexican dinner.Vegetarian options: 6 vegetarian menu items that are very good...

We have been trying to get to this restaurant for some time. We finally made it! It was certainly worth the drive. This will be our go-to for Mexican food. The food was outstanding, from chips and salsa to entrees. Everything was done to perfection. It was simply the best Mexican food I've had in years. Though it is a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back--often. I highly recommend you give them a try, I don't believe you will be disappointed. They deserve ten stars!
