“Sucrose is the best bakery in the greater St. Louis area. Period. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The locally roasted coffee (Blueprint) is fantastic. They also have plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions (GF, dairy free, etc.). In the dozens of times I have gone here, I have never had something that was not fantastic. The quiche lorraine, NY coffee cake, blueberry muffins, and macarons are some of my favorites, but that list is much, much longer. Treat yourself and go on Saturday mornings when they really go all out. Bacon, cheddar, and caramelized onion croissants, sticky buns, whole loaves of bread, amazing specials using ingredients from their garden, and so much more. During the holidays they sell whole pies and other desserts. Their apple pie is truly special and I will continue to buy it every Thanksgiving. I have been going there since they were at their old location (and also had a different name- Four Seasons Bakery), and will continue to frequent their establishment until I am no longer physically able. “Peace Love Coffee is absolutely the best vegan restaurant in the entire St. Louis area! I’ve eaten pretty much everything on the menu and most of the desserts. Everything is delicious. I usually order the chickpea of the sea sandwich with a side of chili. The desserts are out of this world delicious and moist. We have brought most of our family here and they love it too! The service is as good as the food. I can’t say enough good things about Peace Love Coffee.“
“This isn’t my most frequented Fit-Flavors location but I love stopping here when I’m in the area for the smoothie bar options while I’m shopping for my weekly meals. I always ask the staff for suggestions on my protein shake and they never disappoint. Parking is also convenient with spaces right out front making it easy to get in and out if you’re in a hurry.“

“We were very well served, everyone was very friendly. The latte was delicious and our dishes were very tasty. The only problem is that it's a small place and when it's busy, you can see the pressure to leave your table quickly, from the looks of the customers in line.“
“Sugar and Slice is my absolute favorite bakery. They made our wedding cake and dessert bar for our wedding reception. The desserts are so delicious and we’re such a big hit. Everyone complimented them and loved the dessert bar idea. Sugar and slice was so easy to communicate with and handled last minute changes like adding our dog to the cake. They did an amazing job and were so much fun to work with!“

“I stopped in for lunch after having an appointment across the street and was glad I did. The staff member at the register was super helpful running through some of their more popular items. I went with one of her favorites, the spicy chicken panini. It was delicious, flavorful and with fresh crunchy veggies. It came with a small serving of couscous salad and was the perfect amount of food for my lunch. I'll be back to try more of their menu!“
“I had a 3-course meal today starting with the Camembert appetizer, then the beef sirloin and the strawberry tartin for dessert, together with a glass of red wine. Everything was exquisite, my waiter Todd was extremely nice and delightful, and the atmosphere was perfect, with vibrant music to go along. “I onky ordered appetizers and had leftovers. The hot ribs were so very good. Really, they were quite tasty and gave you that fall off the bone sticky goodness that only comes from ribs . Now let's talk toasted burnt ends ravioli. You need to try these. At first, they didn't seem special, but the flavor just comes at you on the back end, and wow! So good- smoky, meaty, toasty. Definitely order some for the table. Our server, Hannah, was very attentive and pleasant. We had a minor inconvenience, and they immediately addressed the issue to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to return. Pro tip- you can get a Fitz root beer and scoop of vanilla to make your own float!“

“Complimenti! My three teenage kids and I were seating promptly. Showing up without a reservation, we were kindly offered seats at the “cook’s counter”. I sat directly in front of the warm wood burning oven and my son was completely enthralled by the atmosphere of the kitchen. Although our bread was more American than rustic Italian, it served as a conveyor of some of the best olive oil I have tasted in a while. Ingredients were fresh and flavors gustoso. Our pizzas, GF pasta, and salads were served timely and warm. Despite showing up without a reservation, we were treated with kindness and true Italian hospitality as complimentary “arancini” or risotto rice balls were offered as compliments from the kitchen. My daughter ordered the 4 cheese pizza and was noticed by the staff that the cheese was too strong for her liking. The manager came out personally and spoke to her with kindness and a sincere desire for her to walk away from her dining experience fed and happy. We had been traveling all day and our stop in Clayton for a bit of respite before another day of driving turned into an evening my children and I will remember largely due to our dining experience at la Pastaria! “We made a trip to St. Charles, MO in August 2023 to ride the Katy Trail. The Bike Stop Cafe was the perfect choice to help us with the trip. They were so helpful in so many ways. Jodi got us to Clinton, MO for us to start our ride back to St. Charles. St. Charles is a cute little town to stay in, so many shops and restaurants right by Bike Stop Cafe. We also got to enjoy a lunch one day at the Cafe and the food was amazing. If we get to ride the trail again we will without a doubt use Bike Stop Cafe and their services again.“
