“This place is amazing! I’m from Hermann and every time I go back home, I always have to get food from the Downtown Deli. They have a huge menu to where everyone is sure to find something they like. Being from Hermann, I have been there a lot and have never had a bad experience. This place is a must! Be sure to check out their daily specials.”
“Fruit wines offer a truly unique flavor that’s incredibly hard to find elsewhere. The owner was incredibly informative and shared many stories of how the wine came to be. A true gem among Missouri wineries.”
“Very friendly and enjoyable atmosphere with really great food. Their Cajun and creole dishes are delicious. I got the Creole Fried rice mixed with shrimp & andouille sausage. It’s one of the best fried rice’s i have ever had. Great service and our server did an exceptional job. Definitely visit them again when back in Hermann.”
“We stopped for a cocktail. I am looking forward to going back when I have more time to try more. The bartender was friendly and very knowledgeable. She offered whiskey suggestions to my husband and answered my questions about the seasonal cocktails.”
“I was there in late October, so the vibe may be different in the warmer seasons. Anyway, the dim lighting and live music made for a very intimate environment. Definitely recommend ordering an old fashioned. Drinks are a bit on the smaller side for the $$ but worth it if you're in town enjoying a little getaway. The outdoor seating area looks like it would be wonderful when warm out. I'll definitely stop back in during my summer visit.”
“My wife and I ate here for lunch 9/24/23. I had a beef burretto & she had the shrimp cimmichanga . Both were excellent! And the chips & salsa were very good too. Wish this was closer to Kansas City we'd go there”
“I went to 4th Street for the first time this weekend. Staff was friendly and caring, the wait wasn't very long and the pizza was hot and fresh!! We had leftovers to take home. Will be back again.”
“The wine tastings are great or if you need a break from wine they also have a Deli with many other options to eat/sip on while enjoying the cellars and amazing views outside on the porch.”

“We arrived on Saturday oct 28th they have a wine slushy that is out of this world. Different flavors, pizza, giant pretzels, those cheese sticks are too die for.”
“out of my whole 30 years of living, wagon Works BBQ is the best, juiciest seasoned meat and barbecue I've had in a long time. I love the cabbage, the coleslaw the owner makes fresh everyday, the hint of purple cabbage gives it a different type of look and texture which I definitely approve of. The owners are awesome, the two girls who work the front end in the kitchen are beautiful personalities. The atmosphere could be a little bit better depending on the climate of the weather. other than that this is my go-to for barbecue”
“We had lunch at the Stone Hill Restaurant. Our waitress, Isabelle, was wonderful.Lunch was delicious and the beer was cold. I can’t ask for more when I treat my girl to a mid week lunch date.”
“Beautiful building and scenery. The food was very good and the service was Excellent. Our server did not skip a beat and was extremely friendly, Aware & made sure waters were filled. Staff was so very helpful and friendly. Everyone was cheerful when we came in (very appreciative). We will definitely be back.”
“Oh my good gracious!!! A detour to miss Saint Louis traffic paid off tonight when we decided to see this little Missouri treasure of a town and got hungry. The Doxie Slush in Herman, MO is … oh goodness I don’t have enough words. I ordered the nachos and boneless chicken wings with peanut butter sauce and my favorite man had the grilled cheese with Kona bbq on jalapeño cornbread with cup of tomato soup. First the soup was creamy and fully of flavor, next the grilled cheese was a grilled cheese lovers dream with havarti cheese and the perfect amount of spicy with soothing silky beef and cheese. Moving on to the chicken wings- I am not asking how these things were gluten free, because they were tender and fried with some heavenly batter but then add that peanut butter sauce- wow- that made me want to jump up and slap my momma. Let’s move to the nachos- ya-all! For REAL - not only was the queso fresh and spiced like a Midwesterner’s idea of a perfect queso with- again that silk Kona bbq beef… but oh my let me tell you those chips were like stepping into my mom’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon with freshly cut white corn tortilla strips fried to perfection. Oh- I kinda wanted to stay! Wait! We cannot forget to mention the slushes! Try a flight- cuz Heaven knows trying to decide will cause a headache. Stop in- you won’t be disappointed!Dietary restrictions: They have a great selection of gluten free options:”
