“My 2 kids (who are both a little pickey) both had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel and both loved it. I had stuffed French Toast with sausage, scrambled eggs, and crispy hashbrowns. They nailed it all, especially the hashbrowns! My wife had a ham and cheese omelet and really enjoyed it!”

“There is a little shopping area as you walk in. It had some honey,soaps, trinkets& more. The place was quaint and warm. Prices were comparable to other coffee shops. It was an ok coffee. Little light coffee& on flavor. They had a few snacks you could buy. Worth trying again. I enjoy fresh ground coffee houses. Flavors vary at times.”

We both enjoyed lunch.There is good variety of pizza,and a good salad bar.Also good dessert including something you don’t see, fudge.We didn't ask, but they'll make a pizza if you request it. They made a pepperoni for another party while we were there.We'll be back to visit again”

“It's fairly fast , service . They only serve Ice cream and cold drinks . I guess ,from what there tee-shirt's read . They've been here in Excelsior Springs for 70 years.”

“We stopped in last night for dinner. I ordered the fried chicken wrap with fries. The wrap had fresh veggies but very little chicken, which was a bit disappointing. Maybe bc it was at the end of the evening? The fries….they were perfect.”

“This is definitely a spot you would be more apt to find in downtown KC Missouri not excelsior springs or anywhere north of KC. The staff is super helpful & takes pride in their work. The servings are massive but more importantly the food is phenomenal. My girlfriend agrees the power pancakes beat anything we’ve had in KC. The building seems really new. Table & couch seating, as well as outdoor tables. You won’t find food this good for this good of a price anywhere. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.”

“Wow..just wow! This little shop packs a punch of deliciousness! She had me at “lavender donut” but I was pushed over the sugar mountaintop with strawberry puffs of yum and Lucky Charms sprinkled on sugary clouds. You have to stop by and fall in love with Sugar Whipped just like I did.”

“Cliff and his family have done a great job of bringing his winery to downtown Excelsior Springs. The bright lights could be turned down to give it a warm glow ambiance. The boards are great! And of course, so is the wine! Enjoy!”

“The pizza was good. The service was extremely slow. I would rate the Pizza Shoppe higher if the service wasn't so slow. If you don't mind the long wait to order and the extremely long wait for your food, then I recommend this place. The pizza is worth the wait. The other complaint is when you order the King pizza that feeds 4-5 people you only get one free salad, that makes no sense.”

“I grabbed lunch here today and was very impressed. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with pasta salad for the side. To say I was impressed is an understatement. The chicken salad was very fresh and had such a good flavor. It wasn't overly mayonnaised, which I like, but it also wasn't dry tasting. I really enjoyed the pasta salad, and the green olives mixed in with the other vegetables was a great surprise. I will definitely be returning!”

“Our bar tender gave us great recommendations, very attentive, and knowledgeable all around. He offered us a great selection of wines, and even had a chance to show us around the venue. Gave us some history about the establishment- and was very welcoming to us. I highly recommend this place if you are staying near by. Definitely coming back!”

“I used to work for stables. And I am proud to say that. Manager, Linda Clark, and manager Morgan Ward are one of the best managers you’ll find. Unfortunately I quit due to me going to college. If I wasn’t going to college, you bet I would stay there. I believe that there’s not many restaurants like stables anymore. Everybody is just kind of jerks. However, a lot of the time working there put a smile on my face. I was a dishwasher. However, there were times where I could help out everybody. There were times where the servers were so packed up that they couldn’t bust their own tables. Not their fault at all. Each and every one of those servers are amazing. And it’s not a big deal to help them anyway. I won hundred percent. I’m going to continue to eat there. And you guys should too. Thank you Linda and thank you Morgan hope to see and hear from you guys soon. Love you all.”
