“My family and I always come in and pick their ready made cakes from the display shelves for birthdays and holidays and they’re always perfect. I am obsessed with their smaller sized cakes because it’s hard to find a cake size at other stores/bakeries that won’t be leftover. The small cakes are so cute and incredibly unique I hope they never get rid of them!! The designs for all their cakes are pretty adorable and they always have a wide variety ready for any occasion! I get the tiny cakes for my friends for their birthday all the time (great for two people to share or even single person if you’re feeling indulgent loll) and the bigger cakes for family events. I hate whipped icing and buttercream is easy to get wrong but theirs is perfected for sure! I’ve been coming here for a couple years now.“

“With THE BLUE OWL YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH DESSERT, but when you eat a meal there it sadly shows Mary is retired. The food is DEFINITELY dropped a notch or two which is sad BECAUSE I LOVED their fried chicken and my wife the chicken salad and now the portions have shrunk and the taste is rather bland. Will go back for dessert but if I am hungry for a meal will eat elsewhere on our way there!“

“Love this place! I come frequently. Great selection of flavors, friendly staff, quick service, and very clean. It's all cooked ahead of time so it only takes a minute to get your food and go. I love the brownie one for dessert and the Sloppy Joe one, but you really can't go wrong with any of them.Pro tip: if you go the last half hour before closing (1:30-2) they are usually half price! “Ashley baked our daughter’s wedding cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! The consensus of many guests was that it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had! The tier cake was almond raspberry and we had 2 kitchen cakes- chocolate hazelnut and spice. All wonderful. I highly recommend getting cakes from Ashley.“

“We stopped by right at the time they opened. There was a guy who worked there that was carrying boxes to his car. I walked in and said hi and he replied how can I help you? And not a friendly voice. He acted like I annoyed him because he had to stop and wait on me and I interrupted him carrying the boxes to the car. I only got 6 doughnuts and I ordered 3 of one kind and 3 of a different kind. I thought that was a pretty simple order and not much trouble. But I guess he thought differently. I have been in here once before and the guy (different guy) was very nice and cheerful and made you feel welcomed. This guy was totally opposite. I frequently visit the Crystal City one and they are always nice and welcome you so I have to admit I was surprised by this guy's attitude.“
