If you like cheese and nice people, go to the Cheese Shack! The food is incredible, every item I've tried there is delicious. The lemonade is incredible. The portion sizes are just right and the prices are fair. The workers are attentive and on the few times I've interacted with the owner, he's so thankful that we've chosen to visit his business. Please go support this adorable little business and you won't regret it!Vegetarian options: The menu lists items and there are several dishes without meat.

Owners are thieves that steal from employees, promised wages are never met and will not provide employees with pay stubs!!! Also will not give you a last pay check. He's been reported by MULTIPLE people and I truly hope people see this and realize how this business owner treats people. Absolutely disgusted. The community of Kimmswick deserves better it's a beautiful place!

This place needs to be shutdown. They have violated numerous labor laws in the State of MO & Federal as well. They don't pay employees correct wages, wages worked, take their tips, do not issue pay stubs- so there is no record of said tips, adolescent employees working hours they should not be, the list goes on & on. And no I am not an employee or former employee, but when I go somewhere & tip my server- it doesn't go to people who are not even on site working.In addition, cleanliness & proper food safety were definitely not a priority & left up to the vices of the few employees that actually cared until they were fed up & left.Not good business owners, not honest & I won't support a business that is run by folks that are simply not good humans. The city of Kimmswick needs to take a long hard look at this business.

We came here for the strawberry festival and say this place had some snacks, fresh lemonade and a bar! We went in and ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade and stayed for the ambiance. It was a small little place and everyone was so nice who worked there.

This menu is so hard to choose from because I want to order it all. I ordered the loaded tots and inside-out grilled cheese and a plain jane for my daughter. Both were wonderful but my daughter said hers was the best grilled cheese she’s ever had. We really enjoyed the fresh squeezed lemonade. I highly suggest you visit.

I love the idea of a restaurant focused on grilled cheese, but I expected more. The grilled cheese was good, but not amazing. The tomato soup tasted similar to campbells. The pretzels and cheese were good! My husband said the lemonade tasted watered down. We were the only customers and our food still took around 15-20 mins to arrive.

Such a cool place! They were very friendly and it was easy to place out to go order. Next time we will definitely be dinning in such a warm vibe. Food was good as well! We got the apple butter sandwich and the bruschetta and they were both very good. Highly recommend if your in the area and looking for a causal fun place to eat. They also have outside seating

First time at the Cheese Shack and I really enjoyed. The restaurant was clean and the young lady taking my order was very sweet. The food was piping hot and delicious. I'm so glad I can here.
They are reopening, but hopefully this time with better ethics. Their last go around the owners kept cash tips for themselves and used the excuse that “that’s why they pay above minimum wage”. Everyone pays above minimum wage so that is no justification. Hopefully this time they do not do the same. Very selfish and they already charge enough for their food!

The sandwiches were pretty good. The tater tots were perfectly crispy and delicious and the food came out in a timely manner. I thought the prices were also reasonable. Will go back sometime.

This was my first time eating at the cheese shack and I can say i'm impressed. The workers were very kind and upbeat. The food was amazing! I got the white cheddar bacon grilled cheese with loaded tots both 10/10 and cheap!!! The bacon mac and cheese was amazing but a small portion was given for 5.99. Amazing place definitely recommend and love the vibes!
