Wish they still had some Kansas locations. I drive 35 minutes to the Independence Back Yard. It's worth the trip. I've never been disappointed. Don't forget to get some cobbler. So good.

Waffle fries were room temp at best. Burger looked like a hockey puck and they still put tomatoe on it when I requested it but to be. 0/10 would not try again. Employees were cool

2/8/24Stopping in for dinner used drive thru. Food was fine. I think the fries maybe was a little under cooked.Friendly workers.
Stopped by this evening to grab dinner. Went through the drive-thru. Received my food and drove home.I ordered a chocolate shake and drank it omw home. The straw was extra large which made it easier to drink. They use actual ice-cream and make these fresh. The chocolate milkshake is definitely worth the stop.I got home and dove into my food. My burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. The lettuce and tomatoe was fresh. I then tried my chili cheese fries. I think these are probably the best in town. I put a generous amount of ketchup on my fries and devoured them.For the $ Back Yard Burger can't be beat. Good food for a good price.

I didn’t realize these ( backyard burgers) were still open and stumbled on it. The food is just great! Fresh. Delicious. The staff are all very nice and attentive. The building is kept very clean. The bathrooms are clean as well. I am really surprised a fast food place is nailing it so well to be honest. This is my second time here in two weeks and it’s consistently great! Another thing is they have ketchup and salt and pepper shakers on the table. So cutting down on waste a single use trash. I can’t believe I’m impressed by a fast food place but ya WOW. Great job!

It's very clean and well kept up however, they did take some tables out so there isn't as much seating but it didn't look out of place like some restaurants do whenever making repairs. It was nice to see it still have class.Parking: Is a little hard to get in and out of but manageable.
