this is the 3rd time ive purchased expired items(obviously unknowingly) and this time, MOLDY cheese off the shelves at this hyvee. why are items being stocked on shelves that are molded let alone expired? are shelves not checked and re-stocked? extremely frustrating and disgusting.

Ordered a cake and described how I wanted it decorated. You can't tell from picture, it also had glitter which made it sparkle! The baker/decorator did a wonderful job. It was delicious!

I ordered pick up through the aisles online. I checked in on the text message as requested. I sat for about 15 minutes and watched the employee unload all of my groceries off of a cart and take them into the container. I waited a little longer and called the phone number that is listed in the website for aisles online and they told me they would have somebody out to help pretty soon. Another employee came out and stood around in the container. They loaded one car next to me but something broke, so they called somebody. Then they stood around in the entrance of the container. Then they started loading up a cart with empty boxes. Finally after I’ve been sitting there for 25 minutes I got out of my car and told them my name and asked for my groceries. Within a minute my car was loaded and I was on my way. I’m not sure if they cannot figure out how to multitask, or if they just don’t care. Terrible customer service!

Avoid the bakery! The service I received was just as nasty as the donuts. This last Saturday I had some woman yell "can I help you?" For a family gathering I needed to order 2 dozen donuts. As I was giving my order she kept saying "next" then said "Be specific" I told her she was being rude. Her reply was "be specific." I ordered chocolate bars and chocolate donuts. Pretty specific! She gave me donuts with sprinkles! I didn't notice until I was checking out. I contacted the company with my complaint... No reply! I will NEVER enter another Hy-Vee. Nasty service. Nasty product. Poor company reply!

This locations floral is a mess. I placed an online order for flowers to be delivered the next morning to someone who had a death in their family. (I’ve placed online orders for flowers from different hyvees & there has never been a problem). I called that afternoon to make sure that the flowers were delivered. The lady I spoke to told me they were. However, the next day I asked my friend if she received the flowers & she said she did not. I called again & they said they had no record of the flower order & knew nothing about it (even though the lady the day before told me they were delivered). My card was charged for the order & all they can say is “that’s what’s mysterious about it is there is no record of it”. It is now 3 days later & nothing has been done. Ridiculous!!! Do not order flowers from this hyvee!!!

Highly disappointed with this location. Very unprofessional when it comes to employees. I only worked here very briefly due to being wrongfully fired. I called in to work because of feeling sick from the Covid vaccine. What happens next? I am removed from the schedule, never heard from anyone at the store, after multiple attempts to call them. About a week later I call AGAIN to speak to the HR manager, finally get ahold of the guy (he had a very rude way of communicating and kept interrupting me), and find out that I am no longer working at the store. Without ANY contact, without ANY one letting me know. No warning that I was let go. Not one single phone call or email. I have been working for this company since 2017, and never have I ever been treated so poorly by a Hy-Vee store. Shame on you.

I was hired last weekend to Face Paint for Alex's Lemonade Stand Charity. I set my Paints and equipment up in the front of the store .the staff and employees I met were so accomodating and friendly. One of the managers helped us put up an awning. an associate gave me clear directions to the bathroom. I was graciously given a free meal voucher by Kristen Rylie and Manager Disha from the Independence Mo. Hyvee. Also the folks at Starbucks were friendly and helpful as well as the cafeteria staff. All this to say I came away thinking I might like to work there because of all the positive and helpful employees who do work there. they work to please! thank You Independence Mo. HyVee

Decent place, nothing to brag about so I gave it 3 stars. I would've gave it 5 stars if they required "people" to wear masks. So because they don't require them, I gave them 3 stars. Other than that the soda (not pop) is actually pretty good in the drinking fountains.

Came here today to eat sushi. Walked up to the Chinese/sushi bar to order and asked if I can get a fresh roll (even though one girl was making rolls at the time) but upon asking they both said no and that the rolls already out on display for sale were fresh. When in fact were made this morning as in the time stamped on the sushi. The other girl (not making the rolls working in the Chinese department laughed and made a rude remark "what do you want me to do, make it in front of you? They are fresh." Continued to laugh and be sarcastic while just standing there. Didn't have any rolls I wanted either. Save your time and go to the Hy-Vee on 23rd. They make their rolls fresh for you upon request on Wednesday's. Plus there's not rude and sarcastic employees. Never will return

Cheese burger and fries Ordered then sat down. Nice young lady with butterfly tats on arms brought it out. It was cooked perfect. Fries were good. She later asked me how it was. I told her good. Will return. They forgot the bacon. But I didn’t care.

Hy-Vee is known for its friendly service but this location just does not have it. I can walk in and go all the way to the back of the store and not be greeted by a single employee. That helpful smile now lacks serious customer service skills.
