Great atmosphere and the food was DELICIOUS! If you are ever in Independence Missouri stop in and try the Louis Armstrong burger!

I've eaten here twice. I'm gonna give it five stars because both times the food was amazing. I had the blackened chicken Diane, the tour of New Orleans, they have great gumbo, the gator is fantastic. The first night I went my husband and I had a date night and decided to try this out because we love visiting New Orleans and their food. Our waitress was amazing, she said she's the bartender and she was attentive and funny and made sure we had everything we needed. I kept our drinks coming and was just all-around wonderful. My 12-year-old wanted to go for his birthday because he loves fried alligator. Again the food was wonderful but the waitress was less than good. She barely came by the table, had to basically flag her down to get drink orders in, someone else nicely brought us our food she never came by to check on us after until she brought us the check at which point I had to ask if we could get some dessert. She only had three tables that were seated I don't know why she was having issues maybe she's a new server, but had that been my first experience I probably would not go back. Could not get drink refills just barely let me get in the fact I wanted beignets before walking off to get them she's in frustrated that she brought me my check before I ordered dessert, but I had no way to order dessert before she brought the check since she only came by twice wants to get her drink orders and wants to bring the drinks and take our orders. I'll try again and hopefully get a better server, because the food is very good.

So pleased to have Jazz here in the Independence area! My husband and I have visited twice over the past 2 months and each time found the food, service, atmosphere to be excellent. The prices are quite reasonable for the large quantities of food with each dish. We generally share an order (neither of us are heavy eaters), and still have leftovers. An added bonus is the live music which we haven't experienced in years since the Jazz in Lee's Summit closed its doors. So, if you enjoy Cajun, Creole, or great food and low prices in a relaxed atmosphere we recommend Jazz restaurant!

I used to consider this one of my favorite restaurants, however, I have had to change my mind due to my most recent experience. I love fried oysters, however, what I received was white chewy rubber. It was such a disappointment and when I called to speak with the manager, she was rude and unhelpful to say the least. I had been told that she would take care of the situation, but she had no intention of doing so. It is for this reason, that I will no longer patronize this establishment. I do love Cajun food and may try another of their restaurants.

Food was hot, fresh & flavorful. It's always extra special to have superior service to go along with great food. Their Cajun Stir fry is one of my favorite dishes.

Came in from Dallas to host a birthday dinner tonight for my mom and the food was great! Chicken a Lamer and the seafood fettuccine Alfredo were so good! Our waitress, Aso, was amazing and so attentive! Great experience!

A wonderful place. Good food, music, service and vibe. The appetizer crap cakes are soooooo great. This place has gourmet food at reasonable prices and good cocktails.

Love this place! We had been to one of their other locations a few years back and loved it as well. Been coming to this location for a few weeks now and have always had a great experience. Tonight our waiter, James, took great care of us and our daughter. Even though they were short staffed he didn't rush us or neglect us... food was amazing as always. Will be back again next week as always!

Server was excellent, food was excellent, place was clean, live band. ... only flaw: wait time (not the restaurants fault they're popular ??‍♂️), and the menus were dirty. Haven't been? Go here. Hopefully you'll have a similar experience. Great job yall?

We came here for restaurant week on Friday and it was amazing. We had the best server cute male very attentive to our needs and took care of us from the start to finish of the meal. We entered and were promptly seated in a booth in a which we prefer. We had previously dined at the 39th street location and it was horrible so this was a breath of fresh air experience when it was fantastic. We had appetizers that were delicious, and some yummy pasta. As a surprise we had beignets delivered by the manager and she personally visited our table several times to make sure we were okay during our dining experience. Will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing evening.
