I don't know who JJ is, but he needs to get ahold of his employees. Just about everything about my meal was cheeks. Apparently, their recipe for mac & cheese does not include seasoning in the least. Trash! This goes for the fried perch as well. The fries were ok, and I think the only reason the wings were ok is because they sprinkle that lemon pepper seasoning on it. Don't waste your time and /or money.

Ordered Catfish, Chicken, Mac and Cheese & Green BeansChicken and the sliced bread was the only thing that tasted good.Fish was below average!Mac and Cheese was THE WORST MAC & CHEESE I've ever eaten! There was not a bit of salt in it and it tasted like they used spicy nacho cheese for the cheese sauce.Green beans were nasty too, I think someone must have dropped a whole can of pepper in the pan while cooking!Overall two stars are fitting! One star for the chicken and the other star for the sliced bread!

Chicken was below average, I would say Church's Chicken is better. Gizzards were nasty, fries was nasty and soggy, slaw was not good either. Fish was decent about the only thing I may go back for.

I'm so confused about the negative reviews on this place. I've seen in in the apps for awhile but just took a gamble today. We ordered 10 pc dark, catfish nugs, pickle fries, shrimp and onion rings. Really just to try everything. Let me tell you, not a single thing was a disappointment. Neither were the portions. Everything was delicious. My bf doesn't even like catfish much and he loved it. I've also seen ppl complain about the white powder they put on stuff. Idk what that powder is but it's pure flavor. Genuinely 10/10 on everything and it's pretty inexpensive. Will definitely be ordering from here again

Love this place, this is the second location of three. One in midtown this one and one north of the river. If you love chicken at all you must try this place great great chicken I highly recommend the lemon pepper chicken phenomenal.
The chicken wings are … good and when im telling you they are good its because they are sooooo good, i havent tried the fish but why would I if the chicken wings and tenders are so deliciosoo ayyyy!!! 9.9 out of 10 just because there is not such a thing as perfection in this world, just my girlfriend, the service is always great and they cook pretty fast.

Truly Saddening! Here iam thinking and hearing about J’s was the lick. So for lunch I buy me and my son a fish sandwich combo and my wife the daily wing combo 27.00 bucks so I get home and see these fish sandwiches and was shocked I could’ve went to Captain D’s and got the giant fish sandwich for less than what I paid for! Not messing with J’s anymore plus the tax!!!?

Not super great but not bad either. Had ordered the chicken sandwich combo and the chicken itself was great but they have some sort of cheese sauce on it but it's flavorless with a hint of jalapeño. It's the same sauce they use for their mac n cheese. All of the chairs in the dining area were put up but if you wanted to use them you could. The man who took our order was nice, just wish it didn't take over 10 minutes to receive the food itself. May go back. And try their fish another time.
