I am super disappointed in the current quantity and quality of the food at the location in Independence, MO.We have been ordering from McAlister's in Independence for quite awhile, but the last several orders have been very disappointing.Ingredients left off, much smaller portions, old food...I did the math and can make a from-scratch, carrot cake with organic ingredients and spend as much as it costs for 1 piece of theirs. And my cake is moist, unlike the piece I got today.My order today was to celebrate my wedding anniversary, 02/18/2024. My husband, Randy, passed from ALS on 10/27/23 and McAllister's was our fave.

So… I love the food here. But this is now the 4th time I’ve ordered without tomato and gotten tomato on the sandwich. Every time the ticket says no Tomato too, I haven’t complained the other times cause I can pick it off, but I wouldn’t ever bring a friend here if they were allergic to anything.. it just seems to be a clear pattern at this point that they don’t read your order when they make it

Expensive! I spent over $30 for a meal for two. I may go again but I'll just order one menu item. Also, restaurants need to go back to small, medium and large drinks. The regular drink I had two people could share. I didn't drink all of my beverage. We are so wasteful in America!

Every time I come here! There is a hair in the food. I haven’t been here over a year. I ordered my sandwich and soup online in store pick up. And decided to purchase their mini cookies. I eat some. The. The next day I grab one and there is a hair stuck to the cookie! This is disgusting. And it looks like cat hair or dog hair!I have neither. I am beyond disgusted. This has happened to many times!

Great food! A tad pricey for sandwiches but their soup & honey bbq nachos were amazing! Only complaint is dining room wasn't very clean so we cleaned our table before sitting down.
I work for McAlister's at a different location. I just went in to get a peach tea because our tea is the best iced tea I have ever had. It's brewed fresh all day. I'm a tea snob and won't get tea anywhere else.Vegetarian options: We have a limited vegetarian menu, but not vegan. Vegetarian items are marked.Dietary restrictions: We have gluten free options including GF bread. Salads can be gluten free if you leave the croutons off.Kid-friendliness: We have several kid menu items. Comes with an entree, side, and small chocolate chip cookie. Does not come with a drink.Wheelchair accessibility: All locations are wheelchair accessible. Including bathrooms.
