Wednesday is always chicken day. I've been trying to be in town (mostly Farmington), but I was in Jackson around 130. Been waiting for a month and a half. They were out of chicken and would have some around 430. I settled for small rib dinner with fried okra and potato salad. My wife had pulled pork and potato salad. Both fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. Still wanted the chicken, it's the best.

This place is absolutely amazing! Best beef brisket and ribs in the area. The chicken is also incredible!Not sure why, but this location in Jackson is head and shoulders above other locations I've eaten at... The one in Cape is hit or miss and the employees are usually not very happy... The one in Dexter was terrible... But the manager must be really good at the Jackson location because the staff is so friendly and the food is always amazing with ample portions! Great job!

First time at this place and it was amazing…. Starters young lady name Salena at the counter was polite patient and kind…. Awesome customer service…. Then the food was really good… The vinegar sauce made me feel like I was in NC. I would recommend anyone to try this place.

We drove into town for a wedding (from Alabama) and needed a good spot to eat. We took a chance on Dexter BBQ, but as they say, "with high risk comes high reward." We were greeted by a nice host ready to take our order. And we were overwhelmed by the huge portion size for a very reasonable price. The pork steak was incredible with the caramelized rub on it. And all the sauces were great additions to our excellent meals. Great job and keep up the great work!
Well...outta pork steak, outta brisket. Very disappointing!! Wife wanted to leave but I talked her into ribs. They was very good but she really Really wanted pork steak and I Really wanted brisket

Not sure why but the food is a hit and miss a times at Dexter. Sometimes they are great and sometimes Ehhh? The baked beans are pretty sweet. I enjoyed the Salad with strawberries and pecans but they are not like they once were years ago? Portions are smaller. I took my younger brother to Dexter in Cape a few times when he visited me for a week he loved it. Usually the food is pretty good had some undercooked okra one time? The meat is usually real good I buy a lot of the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches at drive thru when I get a craving for BBQ with the slaw on top never had any issues. Once in a blue moon you get some gristle that turn you off. As far as I can say until I find another place better it's best BBQ in Cape & Jackson area.

Pork staek is where it's at! Good food! Bbq beans were amazing. Twice baked potato was really that good. I wouldn't choose that again.
