This place has some of the best food I've ever tasted. Soo many options to choose , it made my short time here in Missouri great.

Nice place. Had the gator, crayfish appetizers. Had the Brisket sandwich. It was good but too salty for me. Portions are good, and so are the prices. Loved the military wall plaque!

In area for work. Gator tails for the first time. I would suggest well done for hesitant folks. Good food, good prices for the food and alcohol.

My first time here at Bayou was great. Service was excellent, good atmosphere, and the servings. My gosh the servings, they are huge. If you get an appetizer (to share, don't tackle one yourself) and just the main item with no sides you will be golden. I got the smoked pork steak and while it was a little dry (but that's pork, I won't hold it against them) the sauce was amazing but be sure to ask for extra sauce. Their blackened shrimp are amazing as well. I'd say definitely worth stopping in on an empty stomach and bring friends if you want to finish off an appetizer.

Waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. Watched 3 different tables that were sat down after us get their food well before us. Questioned the 1st time waitress and her immediate response was “well it’s not my fault”. Well let’s maybe tell us exactly what is going on……..2nd time asked the waitress we were told they were finishing it up. 3 of us received our food at different times, one order was never brought out. What food was brought out was luke warm at best. The manager I guess said it was the waitress 2nd day……….for being a 2nd day waitress, you could tell she’s been there longer than 2 days, I paid attention to every other table around us she worked, and worked the register like someone who has been doing it for quite some time………DO NOT LIE TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Manager tried to make it right so “we’d come back again”. After an experience like that, we all decided that won’t be the case.

Being an out of state northern boy, I was greeted with that southern hospitality. I ended up buying a round for the locals and was invited back for the big as your face pork steak!!! I will be back!!!
