I heard that this was the best rice house in Jefferson City so i stopped there on my way home. I placed 2 orders for St. Louis style fried rice and 2 orders of crab ragoon. I made it (Columbia)home and open containers to eat and to our dismay it was their regular fried rice. I called and they say manager would call me back, put me on hold and then the phone hung up, so i called back and was told i had to talk to the manager and until this day I have not heard from him or her.

I placed a takeout order near closing time. Apparently I have a bad habit of that ?.Anyways. The food was ? on point. Even though they were all ready to go they were still so friendly.I honestly can't tell you the last time I've had fried rice that delicious. Side note, I eat Chinese food way more then the average person. So if I say the fried rice was good. It was.

China King has been our "go to" place for Chinese food for over 5 years. After yesterday that could change. Everything we ordered was bland tasting. It did not taste bad, it just just did not taste at all. Even the Crab Rangoon had no real flavor to it and we normally love them. The food we got was a complete 180 from what we normally get from China King. New ownership maybe??

This was our first time at the restaurant, very cozy with a choice of tables and booths. We had a large beef broccoli and a large chicken fried rice. The beef was so tender and broccoli crisp with a delicious lite brown sauce (did not overpower the taste buds) - so good we finished it, just yummy! The St Louis style chicken fried rice was the best ever! I could get this everyday....What a great discovery, we will be back soon!

Tried China King tonight. The food was pretty good but it felt like we were eating in a food court. Everything was served on paper plates (cheap ones). Really cheap plastic forks, we had to request a knife. We also had to ask several times for sauces. Drinks were served in styrofoam cups. Overall not a pleasant dining experience. Price was as high as a nicer restaurant. Only way I'll go back might be for carry out. I really can't recommend for dining in.
