THE BIG CHEESE!- Not the smash burger version. This was one of the best burgers I’ve had in KC recently. They have absolutely nailed the ratios. Specific descriptions: Ratios on this burger were excellent- the burger to bun size; width, height, and thickness, was perfect for a balanced bite. The type of bun they are using is soft, has a bit of texture on the outside, but also has enough spring to it that it does not get mushy or fall apart midway through the burger, or at all really. In fact, the structural integrity of the burger was better than any I’ve had lately- judging from first bite to last. The burger patty itself had a great sear on the outside, they really nailed the texture on this too. It’s got the sear slight crunch on the outside and then juicy on the inside. It was not at all greasy. The meat had great flavor and was not over salted- it was not bland either- they got the seasoning ratio right as well. I was skeptical about the arugula being too bitter for this burger. I was also skeptical about two slices of cheese being too much. I was wrong on both. The arugula is tossed with something that gives it just the tiniest bit of acid, this brightens it just enough to balance the richness of it. The American cheese they use is sliced thin, so using two slices is again just the right amount of cheese. The sauce they use on it complement the entire arrangement. Usually I will add sauce on anything. But not this burger. My dining partner mentioned they forgot to ask to leave the tomato off. Glad we didn’t. It was perfect in the bite mix. From the first bite to the last this was just an incredible burger eating experience. Their kitchen has absolutely got making a killer burger dialed in! The staff were very attentive and friendly. Speaking of adding sauces to things. The Brussels were good, but surprisingly I felt like the sauce on them was too much and made the Brussels soggy. The sauce is delicious, but a little of it goes a long way. Next time I will see if they are willing to put the sauce on the side and dip them instead. I also like that they have the small beer pours so I can try some of the local/ seasonal beers too. We will be back. Thank you!!!

We stopped in because we saw so many other good reviews. You have two options for ordering. Order at the counter, or scan the QR code and order directly from your table (love that option). We tried two different burgers, the Blueberry Stout burger and the Prohibition Burger. We loved them both but the Prohibition burger edged out the Blueberry stout in our opinion. This burger is messy, but delicious. Covered in swiss cheese, thick cut bacon, arugula, avocado and bourbon carnalized onions. We also loved the fries. You have your choice of dipping sauces. We got honey mustard and drunken ketchup. Both were good. You also have a good choice of local beers and spirits to choose from.I might just vote these as the best burgers in KC. Not a cheap option, but the quality makes it worth it.

Great food and drinks. Only downside was you had to order food and drinks from the front counter, no at table wait service. If it would of been busy that could of been a hassle. Otherwise, great place I would go back to.

This was my first time here but it definitely won't be my last. I had the fry flight and the "big cheese" burger. Both were amazing! Service was great also.

We've been here several times and quality and experience is every bit as amazing as our first visit! The space has since expanded with the addition of Brewer's Corner - a beer hall literally just steps away from the main restaurant! We've been for date nights and Restaurant Week and really you can't go wrong with anything here! The food is spectacular! Everything is fresh - not a single freezer on site. This also means that when something sells out, it sells out for the day. The cost is a little higher, but you're paying for high quality food that's cooked with care. The classic burgers are great -- The Big Cheese is an elevated classic, but the Blueberry Jam Stout burger is a unique and delicious combo! The smash style patties are a little different, it's a combo of a few different style burgers. It's got a really good crunch that surprising, but works with the juicy meat and gooey cheese. The fries are delicious - make sure to get all the dipping sauces (they come with the flight!) but the brussels are equally delicious. Honestly some of the best in the city.Service is always great! We've had the pleasure of meeting Chris, the owner, and he really takes pride in the food he serves, the people he works with, and the spaces he's created.A must add to your KC list!

Man, I give this place a 10/10!!! My friend and I visited last night for the first time and we hands down agreed that this was one of the best spots that we've experienced for restaurant week. Not only was the food amazing (LOVED the fries with the homemade sauces), but the service and vibes were outstanding. I also love that it's local and 100% scratch!I really wish I had gotten the name of the bartender at the bar. My friend and I are not big on drinking, but we decided to try out the beer anyway since it came with the restaurant week special. The bartender was so kind and friendly. He went so far as to letting us sample several beers! Although I hate the taste of alcohol, all of the beers were very clean and easy to go down. It surprisingly paired nicely with the burgers & fries. Definitely coming back. :)
