We had a fantastic dinner for my birthday! Tiffany was out waitress and did an amazing job! I had the salmon which was delicious and my husband had a steak which was cooked to perfection! We also had the oysters, which were so so good! Would definitely recommend Eddie V's for a great dinner and music.

Let’s be frank: we expect good service for $300 dinners. I’ve never had bad service at Eddie V’s, but I’ve also never had service so good.Our server was named Mindy last night. We were there for our anniversary. From being friendly and attentive to knowing the best pairings for a surf and turf, she was amazing. The Pinot she recommended was spot on and the best I’d had in a couple of years. She knew where it was produced too.I had a question about whether the lobster was warm or cold water (S African) and of course, she knew again without asking and described in detail the difference between the lobster they had and a lobster from Maine. I am not a warm water fan.Good job, Mindy. Good job, Eddie V’s.

03/19/2024: I met up with my work colleagues on Friday, 03/15 for a celebratory dinner. There were 11 of us in the private room to the right of the entrance. Service was impeccable. The main and other servers were friendly and accommodating to my party. We ordered plenty of apps (shellfish tower, ahi tuna, calamari), drinks, and food (lobster, lamb, crab fried rice, scallops, steak, etc).I personally got the Kansas City strip medium rare, Oscar style. I ordered the KC strip, because I was in Kansas City, and Oscar style, since that is one of my favorite steak indulgences. Well, overall my steak was ok. There needed to be more seasoning (salt, pepper, or something) on the steak. The crab, asparagus, and béarnaise sauce were delicious accompaniments.I know this is a high end restaurant and should expect my food to be top notch. So I am not completely bashing the place and didn’t want my steak prepared again. I just lived with it.I did enjoy the calamari and ahi tuna appetizers. They were delicious and on point.The crab fried rice could have been prepared better. The rice was too moist to be fried properly which made the overall fried rice not as fluffy and the right texture.We didn’t get dessert because it was getting late and we all had to be up early the next day.Overall, it’s was a fairly positive experience at Eddie V’s in Kansas City. Maybe I just got an off night for my steak.

If someone invite you out for your birthday and says they want to take you to Eddie V's, say yes without a moment hesitation! The service was phenomenal the atmosphere was perfect beautiful decor and not too loud, live music in the bar was light in entertaining. The food was beyond reproach. From the lobster tacos and bisque, to the filet and bananas Foster, I would recommend this place for any celebration or time when you want to make someone feel special.

Eddie V's (Kansas City) checks all the blocks. Atmosphere, Vibe, Service, and the Food are Top-notch! Wine selection was very extensive!Our server mixed our steak tartare appetizer right at our table. Could have been a meal in itself! The parmesean crusted Sole was light and flavorful!Can't wait to return to try more dishes.

Eddie V's consistently provides some of the best food, service and ambience ever experienced. It was our 42nd anniversary dinner  and they made it a wonderful evening. Such a great place for celebrations. They have a great happy hour as well. My husband and I recently celebrated our Engagement Anniversary here, we got engaged here 4 years ago on leap day. The server was knowledgeable and very sweet. We were given a free dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate on the plate as well as Champaign and rose petals on the table. Every single dish on the menu sounded so good, and you really can’t go wrong with any of the items. I absolutely recommend splurging on Eddie V’s at least once in your life! You will not regret it!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu available.Parking: Use the valet out front, so much easier!Kid-friendliness: This place is not kid friendly to me, I would personally not bring chaos into this upscale restaurant.
We had a great meal, with amazing service. I had the filet medallions Oscar it was cooked just right, the au gratin potato's were so good and cheesy. We had Banana's Foster's for desert I mean wow!!! It was so delicious!!! Then the waiter took our valet ticket and had our car brought up and we walked out and it was waiting for us. Such a great night!!!

Food was fantastic at Eddie V's. I had the scallops and I must say they were the best I've ever eaten since being alive. I absolutely had all the signature sides ( truffle mac, crab fried rice and lobster mash) all delicious. Never can go wrong at Eddie V's! Can't wait to return! Our server was awesome and very accommodating also, sorry I'm bad at remembering names (especially after downing a few Hope diamonds ??).

The service and meal was impeccable. I took my niece to celebrate her 39th birthday. We truly enjoyed the meal. But we received a special gift, someone paid for our meal. We truly felt special and appreciated their kindness and generosity. I wish could thank them personally.

Excellent location for a romantic evening or a business dinner. The sides are served family style, so expect larger portions than a normal “side.” Every fish dish is exceptional, and you can’t go wrong with the steaks either! Highly recommend the Scallops and the Brussels sprouts!
