We don't usually come around KC Downtown/Westport areas, but we had a chance to try some new food around here today. From outside, it doesn't look very fancy. From inside, it looks like a very standard sushi place. We walked in around 1:50pm, which they only had two other recommends occupied by then. Their kitchen was lightening FAST and the quality of the food is superior! Highly recommend the Cha Shu Noodle Soup, Eel Rolls, and Yang Sho Fried Rice!!!!! Wow, we will definitely be back soon when around this area again.

Had a great time and food was tasty, but I am super confused with the spicy ramen. The flavor of the broth and spice level was nice, but the vegetables that were in it were stir fry veggies. Literally as in largely chopped red and green bell peppers, white onion slices, and sauteed button mushrooms. No sign of anything you'd find in ramen, no shiitake or cremini mushrooms, no fish cake or nori, no scallions or sprouts. The egg wasn't marinated, it was a very hard boiled egg, completely plain. It was just odd. Staff was great, the bento box was awesome but yeah that ramen was not at all what I was expecting.

This is our go-to place for sushi in KC. Take out or dine in, the bento boxes are delicious, filling, and affordable, ramen is excellent, and sushi is unparalleled in our very-landlocked metropolis. Staff are always friendly and professional.

I love this small, delicious spot. The Beef Short Ribs and Oyshi roll are my favorites. Comfortable to dine in with great service, or quick to take out. Parking for takeout can be a little frustrating, but it is what it is in that area.

Friends Sushi is the best Ma& Pa menu around!Awesome eats for non sushi lovers too. Their Shang Hai Udon will leave your taste buds in heaven with 3 different choices of grilled shrimp/ streak/ chicken on kabobs over sweet udon noodles!And if Combo is there, request him for the sushi bar and you will receive the best sushi around!! ?

Sat down for an authentic sushi meal before heading over to planet anime downtown.The food came out super fast and the service was extra fast for being moderately busy. The portion sizes were amazing.Dietary restrictions: I had an allergy and they were more than accomidating.Parking: Parking was tough.
Love the food here and they are so nice. I’ve always got delivery but I had to call and correct an order when I forgot to request something. They were so nice about it and fixed it for me. The fried rice is the best I’ve ever had and my favorite thing to get. My sushi friends highly recommend them as well.

I've lived around the corner for the longest but I finally went in. It was so good! I forget the name of it but the squares of tofu in the sauce... OOOOH!!! Get that as a starter. I'll be back soon and more often for the lack thereof before.
