This was the BEST experience we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Our waitress, Amber offered samples of the beer to make sure we got what we liked. The manager Austin personally checked on us. Mind you this was Saturday night rush. The food was amazing! The atmosphere was friendly. All the wait staff was pitching in and helping each other out. Highly recommend this place!

Made reservations for Sunday noon meeting with family heading to airport. 10 people, 6 adults 1 in wheelchair and 4 kids. Had to wait 30 min. Waiter did not explain that it was buffet only until 1pm so we got stuck eating breakfast buffet. Hash browns, pancakes, French toast was never filled in hour and a half we were there. Kids with no pancakes or French toast didn’t fly well. I personally am not a breakfast person. Seen people with omelets but was never told how to get them. Tea had no ice or lemon. Biscuits and gravy and bacon was plentiful. Cinnamon rolls were delicious. Needless to say I was disappointed.Kid-friendliness: Forced into buffet but the pancakes, French toast and hash browns were gone and never refilled while we were there.Wheelchair accessibility: They accommodated well.

We came here later in the evening. We were seated near the bar. We had both bartenders serve our table. The cider I ordered ended up being out because of its popularity and our food took a little while. The bartenders were very kind and apologetic. When our dinner came out, it was delicious. I had the beer cheese soup, asparagus and green beans. As we were paying, they provided us with a free dessert to thank us for our patience. It was a large, freshly made, hot cookie topped with ice cream. I tried to grab a picture before my kids ate it all. We will definitely return!

Always good until last night: after appetizer, waited well over an hour for cold mashed potatoes, a sliver of salmon, cold vegetables and a $10 virgin bloody mary. Also had to ask for silverware, napkins, and water. No offer to refill cola drink. Complaining resulted in a discount of 10% on a $87 bill.Will not ever return...

The service was not good tonight. We asked several times for napkins and never got them. They brought the wrong food out. The cheesecake was frozen and rock hard. This was a birthday dinner for my husband. It was not a good experience.

First, I'd like to say, I used to like the food at Granite City but it has gone downhill. I ordered the Asian shrimp tacos. It came with some carboard tortilla chips and a side of ketchup (supposed to be salsa, tasted like ketchup). The tacos were heavily sauced, nothing special about them.Service was okay. However, the waitress was lucky we are nice, honest people, because she did give us the wrong ticket, and it was half the total of ours. We pointed it out, paid the right ticket and left. As we pulled out of the parking lot I said I wasn't feeling so good. By the time we were half way home I announced I was going to puke... and I did, for 3 hours! As soon as we got home I ran to the bathroom and continuously threw up for 3 hours! I have never felt so miserable! Thanks Granite City, for a most memorable night. I don't know if someone left the shrimp out or what the hell happened, but we will not be dining at Granite City again!

CAUTION: Server was fine did her job well. Food was cooked quick. I ordered the tortilla soup and chicken alfredo which the pasta was pretty bland not very flavorful but I ate it to be nice. The server made up a strawberry lemonade for me and when she set it down there was a CENTIPEDE FLOATING IN IT!!!!!!!! I instantly told her, said we were done dining and she didn’t say a single word she just removed it and left to get the manager. Manager Tony comes up and says “oh sorry we take this serious and as a restaurant we treat heavily for insects but every now and then something slips through”. ? So pretty much, not the first time. He then said “I don’t want you to leave hungry can I offer you any food” which was kind but it’s 50-50 there will be bugs in the food and obviously the odds were not so rewarding today. ? Haven’t been in almost 10 years so we thought we’d try it again but we won’t be back. Be mindful and if you go please check your food.
Sat at the bar 4 pm and finally got a beer from a waitress at 4:15. Saw the Bartender at 4:25 finally but was ignored with the menu in hand and had to order from a waitress again. I will never be back. Beer is mediocre still waiting on food.

We came here to eat for my step dad's birthday. Our server got our drinks out quickly. Then she took forever to take our order, then we got our food and it took 15 minutes to get our condiments. Then we ordered dessert and I asked for mine to go and she told me she'd bring me a box after we waited 30 minutes for our dessert to come she didn't even bring a box. Which she should of boxed it in the back because I said I wanted it to go. Terrible service. Never got a refill until my son accidentally spilled my drink then she was forced to bring another. I don't recommend this location to anyone. They SUCK.

Ordered Prime Rib sandwiches, were dry and no flavor. Horseradish sauce also had no flavor. Waiter was very inattentive so we couldn't even bring our concerns to his attention. Worst lunch I have ever had there, won't be going back.

The last several times we have gone to brunch it was not the greatest. Prime rib was tough, cool and most disses were cold. They have done better in the past. For the price you pay, it was not worth it.
