Good Lord! This place had the greatest food I've ever had! Every single person in our group talked about how amazing their meal was the whole weekend. From the cheeseburger and fries to the prime rib. This is an absolute must if you are in KC! There is no way you will be disappointed. Even the damn fries are perfect! The wings and poutine are a great way to start, I promise! I ordered the filet mignonette, rare, it was served as I had ordered it. Top quality, but a small portion. We will go back the next time we’re in town. Recommend for foodies. ?

I loved this place so much. I am going to miss it so much. It was my favorite burger in KC. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star review is because I went the last day they were open and the burger they gave me was not Hogshead quality. The bacon was mad thin and even the burger party itself. I was bummed because I knew I wouldn't be able to get it again, and to go out on that note really left a bag taste in my mouth. Overall though. I really am gonna miss this place. Everybody had an off day, so I get it.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. The sign says "wait to be seated", waited for about 5 minutes and no one came so we just sat our selfs at the bar. The fries were really good. My date wanted to try "the best burger" voted two years in a row, before the site closes; he didn't seem to be phased by the quality- so nothing to write home about. I witnessed a waiter physically touch two of his tables food items with his hands, pretty gross. Wouldn't make a point to go back if they were staying open.

We had a party of eight on New Year’s Eve surprisingly no wait time very friendly waiter and the seats had a great view of the Plaza lights I personally had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection also I tried smoked cheddar grits for the first time what I have to say surprisingly good no complaints from anybody at the table and believe it or not the check was reasonable I would return to this restaurant !

This is a locally owned bar and grill. The food was good but, alas, they will be closing in just a few days. :-(

This review is somewhat anti climatic since they are closing for good Jan 5th. Food was pretty darn good, service was not good...could be because they're all losing their jobs. Terrific bacon.

I came here several weeks ago to catch up with a school friend that was in town. It was very easy to find in the Plaza and there is a parking garage literally right next to it. I would say depending on what time you go here and if you don't know how to parallel park (aka me), you will be circling the garage multiple times, praying for someone to leave so you could have their spot. There is something about going to the Plaza that stresses me always. The waitress was very friendly and approachable. I wish I could have remembered her name. She was witty too. A bunch of us arrived and reserved a table. They have a good selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. I got a cocktail that had the words fruit punch and kombucha cause I'm a s***** for kombucha. It's always my go-to drink when I'm craving carbonation, but that's besides the point. It really did taste like fruit punch. I got the eggs Benedict. It had a chorizo cornbread instead of an English muffin, pork belly and hollandaise sauce. I actually like their meal portions. It is very reasonable. I liked my meal a lot. I usually only order eggs benedict if it's salmon or crab but this restaurant's egg Benedict had the word chorizo and that got me. Overall, it's a decent place. I could come back here again if I was catching up with people.

Hands down THE BEST meal experience I've had in years! We were there on a whim and didn't realize it was brunch, but I'm so glad it was! Start to finish, it was as close to perfection as I've had. The Smoked Manhattan was silky smooth and something different. The Bloody Mary was seriously the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot). The garnish, folks, included housemade pickles and...housemade pork rinds. OMG those pork rinds should be a menu item on their own. I raved about them so much that the chef sent out our own little serving! We also had the poutine, which was unlike poutines I've had before, but was delicious. The burger and fries were incredibly flavorful, but so simple. The chicken and waffles also didn't disappoint. Think Southernco.fort food, but with a bit of an upscale and clever twist. Fresh, simple ingredients treated with respect and made with love - a fine example of SOUL food. Service was outstanding, as well, (Macalen was amazing) and the chef visited our table for a few moments, too. Absolutely a delightful and memorable experience. I can't wait to go back!!

This place was just off the main strip at the plaza. The staff was very pleasant, although service was a little slow once I was seated. I tried the Hog head stew and it was very tasty. Perfect during a very cold day. I also had the cheeseburger, since I wanted to play it safe. The burger was perfectly cooked with a thick cut of bacon and an egg. The menu is a little light on variety, but if the rest of the food is just as good, I strongly recommend this restaurant. I would have given this place 5 stars, but the slow service made the difference. Specially, since the place was pretty empty. Overall, this was a very good experience.

Had the spicy chicken sandwich, good flavor but all of the breading fell off so difficult to eat... smoked drumsticks were delicious. I would definitely say overpriced for what I had.

I must say our first experience was AMAZING!!

First off, we sat at the Chef's table. Right up and close w/ the head chef, cooking, screaming, and watching the entire staff work...was AMAZING!
