5/11/24Reserved a reservation in advance for 5 guests. Arrived checked in admittedly sat. We received the options of booth or table.Very busy, but the servers and hostess were handling it well. Took no time to get the food. Food and drinks were good. The KC Lemonade I couldn't taste the alcohol. The Tropical Paradise was full of alcohol. I recommend a reservation if it's a holiday.

I drove in (truck driver) and my lady flew in for her birthday weekend and this place here hit the spot.... very tasty and the service was on point... she left with a smile and a full belly which was all that I could of hoped for. Nice city Kansas City... thank you

The food served here is exceptional. The finest barbecue beef rib I have ever experienced, and the order was for the Crown beef ribs paired with the honey bbq sauce that normally accompanies pork ribs and cheesy corn.

I’ll start with the negatives first, which is that the restaurant intentionally cooks the blackberry salmon (which tasted delicious) medium, which is not my preference. But I know some places do that. Not a huge deal. However, I was poked by two salmon bones; and I located four bones that were not cooked enough to comfortably chew and swallow.That said, of the four sauces, all but the hottest had good flavor; honey BBQ was the best. For sides, the potato salad was odd but not bad necessarily, the coleslaw was great if you like it sweet, and the baked beans were 6/5 stars. Service was really good. If it was an option, I’d give 3.5/5 stars.
Food was good but baby backs were dry. Cornbread was solid.

I normally don't feel compelled to write online reviews, but my dining experience at Jack Stack Barbecue - Freight House was so exceptional. Our server, Nicholas, took care of us big time with extra sauce, a side and dessert free of charge. He was also gracious enough to let me sample beers before ordering one.I loved the covered and heated dining patio and would absolutely return to Jack Stack again. And not to mention, the food itself was delicious and reasonably priced for two people.
Absolutely the best lamb ribs I’ve had.
