Came here 3 years ago. So glad to get back again. Steaks are awesome, service is awesome, let me highly recommend the homemade carrot cake with the secret frosting. Not sure how you can really improve on cream cheese icing...but the did. ?

I came specifically to Kansas City to try a Kansas city steak, and the place I came to was Jess and Jim's, and they didn't disappoint. The steaks were amazing. Great service and atmosphere.

Service was top notch! They didn't let your drink go to half gone without bringing you another. Steaks melt in your mouth and explode with flavor. I had the ribeye. If you want a great night out with superb service go there!!

Worst steak I have had in 30 years. Way overpriced for a terrible steak. Ordered ribeye medium rare came out cold and well done. Scampi was cold and flavorless. Potato was the only thing that was halfway descent. Ordered Porterhouse medium rare, came out cold and barely even browned. Brought it back out black on outside still cold on inside. Will NEVER come back.
1980’s feel. Steaks were great, cooked exactly to order. Side salad included in meal. Fries were fresh cut not frozen. Nice smiling friendly faces.

Our first visit to Jess and Jim's and WOW! Everything we have been told and more! The food and service are wonderful! We split the Porterhouse with plenty left for another meal later!Our steak absolutely melted in our mouths! We will be back for sure!

First timer! We joined friends/family for lunch. All of the staff members were friendly and efficient. I liked how the tables were configured so that we all had plenty of elbow room. We needed it for all the great food we had! We started off with an appetizer platter. The wings and mac and cheese bites were good, but the onion rings were stellar! I also really enjoyed the mushrooms; the breading was nice and light. Our side salads were fresh and cold, and I appreciated having the dressing on the side. One person had a grilled chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed. One person had chicken fried steak, which he said was pretty good. Two of us had the lunch strip, which was cooked perfectly and SO tasty! He enjoyed his side of fries, and I will be enjoying my side of twice baked potato at least two more times before my leftovers are gone. ?Vegetarian options: Not many options available. It's a steakhouse.Parking: We usually park in a handicap-accessible space but we did not see any. We parked a ways down the lot which was okay today, but we might have to drop people off and then go park on another day.Wheelchair accessibility: We did not see any parking with wheelchair accessibility. The restroom seemed accessible and the tables can be configured so that they are accessible as well.
