I moved to kc about 5 years ago from StL. No one makes Chinese food like back home, but I was encouraged to go here. I really wanted a St. Paul. They don’t have them, but they do have egg foo young gravy. The food was okay, but crab ragoon was really good. They don’t have red pepper or the orangish sweet and sour. It’s a drive through and cash only. The guy was really nice, but I like to go in to order rather than hold up a line since I didn’t call first. Well, I tried calling and got no answer. I most likely will give them another chance. They do have hot braised chicken. You get plenty of food for the money spent also. I wish them more success in the future. StL options are limitless and it’s hard to find copies up here.

Visited Linwood Chinese Express for lunch today and ordered Pepper Beef. I'd hoped to order schezwan beef but they don't make that here. I ordered pepper beef instead. The total came to 13.26, for the entree, fried rice, and 1 crab rangoon. The place is drive-thru only and cash only; I waited approximately 10 min in the drive-thru from order to pick-up. Service was super friendly and the portion was huge-- as a light eater, I can easily get 3 meals out of this. Someone who eats more could get 2 meals. Compared with other local Chinese spots in Kansas City, I'd say you can expect a pretty decent experience here.

First time ever disappointed ? I order the same everytime...my rice was burnt..when. I got order i knew I smelt something...but go home... it was so burnt.. so brown i don't even use soy..it looks like a whole bottle was used..URGH.when I got home opened the smell was awful. Called..called ..called no one answered....but make an order they snswer...see same # naw .. yes I kept it for my review. It stinks horribly.. I've never ever had burnt rice. Eeeewww

These people are the best ever I have eating there over 10 years..I have moved out of Kansas city and still have not absolutely not found no other place anywhere as good as them .I miss them so nice kind the owners good food and quality. Was there weekly best
Fast. Friendly. Phenomenal Portions. My order came out piping hot and these folks don't skimp on the condiments. Make sure you bring CA$H, because they don't accept anything else (it isn't a deterrent to the right kind of people). I WILL be back for my local Chinese fix.
