I'm doing a 2024 KC Burger tour. Looking at locally owned (mostly) stand alone places. Got the burger combo. A different take than most, but delicious. They use a dusted potato bun. Fixings were very fresh and tasty, and they offer a lot of options. Fries were made to order and very crispy. My only suggestion would be that the buns would be better if they were grilled/warmed, but I'm sure you can ask for that.

I love little burger shacks like this, and Max's didn't disappoint! I have talked into this small hidden gem and ordered the Big MaxBurger combo of with tots and a coke. The meal came out to $17 and some change for the whole experience. The inside of the restaurant is small, and seating is limited, but don't let the size or the decor change your mind about stopping here. The walls are decorated with photos of family members and there is a small fish tank near the front that captures the eyes of guests as they wait for their food. The gentlemen working there were very nice and accommodating while handling the inflow of customers behind me with ease. The burger was fresh and delicious, and was worth every penny. If you haven't visited this location before, you should.
