Love the food it was very flavorful and savory I got the oxtail and house special tibs for two. I also had the rum punch which was delicious and indeed packed a punch.
The lamb and beef tibs were so delicious, but the wait time was ridiculous. An hour wait even with a reservation before someone took our order. But it was good. Maybe call and see how long the wait is. The night I went, it was only two servers. Worth to try though I guarantee that.

To start, we had reservations. We were sat promptly but then it took 22 minutes to be greeted by anyone. We thankfully had been given water but I literally got up and told the bartender our drink order. Those took 10 minutes to make and deliver and were definitely not worth the price point. The best dish by far was the appetizer Lambi. It was a tad pricey but truly delicious. The two entrees were way overpriced for what was given, presented, and taste. My $29 shrimp curry had 5 shrimp, one total red potato, and one carrot total. Its taste felt like a lesser good Thai curry. My girlfriend got lamb ribs which were okay but under spiced for our taste. I had to ask for water several times instead of them clearly seeing it be empty and filling it. There was no discount at all nor true apology. The service was abysmal truly and food not remotely worth the price.

Chose because of its proximity to the Uptown Theater, but food is very good, evidenced by the fact that it was very full and required reservations this night. Highly recommended. Would go again. A great option for non- meat eaters

Starting with the good: the food was extremely good. Unique and well executed.To the not so good: Every restaurant has its bad nights as far as service and i hope we were experiencing that rare occasion while at Mesob. Food and drinks were very slow to come to the table. The server said she would being appetizer plates but never did before we just finished the appetizer. Our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Another table's plate was brought to our table before they realized it was a mistake and brought it to the correct table. We waited a long time for our checks and asked for to go boxes but never got them. We were a table of 4. Our reservation was at 7:00 and we didn't leave until 9:40.Hopefully they were just having a bad night. We would love to see them succeed because again, the food was delicious.

I was very excited to dine here considering all the awards the chef has won, and amazing looking menu options. We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated. However, it took quite a long time for our server to come to our table. I had to flag her down. They were very busy (Sunday night) and seemed to only have 3 wait staff for the entire restaurant. She took our order and our drinks arrived a while later. We were getting worried about the time, as we had a concert to attend. The appetizer and entrees came out within 5 minutes of each other. So while we were able to eat quickly, it was kind of a whirlwind situation. It was like a hurry up and wait then hurry up and eat. Lucky we did make it to the concert on time since the meal was served promptly. The waiter apologized for the slow service, and was very kind overall.I will for sure be going back as the meal was Delicious! We tried the Caribbean menu: Fritters, Veg Jambalaya and Surf Duo.I'm excited to try the Ethiopian menu next time.Just a warning to possibly plan on a nice, relaxing and not rushed meal experience.Vegetarian options: Soups, Salads, Veg Jambalaya, and additional menu items.

normally great food and service from younger servers. I boast on this place nationwide. I took a seat at the bar and sat there patiently for about 10 or so minutes. they appear to be busy. I understand. I known what I wanted to order and expressed it. then owner then made space for two older white people who came nearly 10 minutes or so after me (check cameras), great people but it was done. she took their order for food and drinks faster and never even returned back to me for my food request. I eat here when in town regularly because it's great flavor and helps me to eat healthy alternatives. I'm not sure if it was great coincidence. camera shows I sat down at 650pm or so, I journal daily when I go to restaurants as I'm working on my next comedy project. I was under the impression I was seen as lesser value. it's 737pm and they just received their appetizers. check your cameras. I walked sad, disappointed and degraded. I won't be back to this location but I wish you all continued success.
update came back on April 12th, 2024 . another horrible experience. I ordered oxtail. I asked them could I just add extra greens in the dish (which comes with greens) in exchange for me not wanting mushroom rice. I also ordered the Mac and cheese. I was told they couldn't simply add more greens to my order. the rice didn't come with the dish but I was charged for the Mac and cheese and no extra greens added to the dish.

This was my first time to Mesob. Our server was quite personable and helpful despite having several other tables to cover and a large party just ahead of us. Everything was really great except that the main item I ordered was too spicy for me—all the other items were excellent and worked for my wimpy spice tolerance. Next time I'll know! Mesob has a wide and varied menu. It's definitely worth checking out.
