Kyle serves the best curated selection of beers and whiskey, with plenty of wine and canned cocktail options. Love the laid back vibe. There’s plenty of board games available. We’ve reserved the long tables in the back to celebrate many occasions and I’m so thankful Oak & Steel is in the neighborhood! I've been here many times and I have enjoyed my experience here. The staff is courteous and can be helpful if you ask the right questions, but there is some knowledge needed going into this place in a good way. They have a lot of craft beers that are on rotation and featured and it can be overwhelming if you are trying to find one that you like so I will usually search up some ratings and read the description ahead of time before ordering. Overall it is a very chill experience and this is more of a laid-back environment which I prefer. They do have board games as well if you bring people to play and drink with. I signed up to their email newsletter so that way I could see the events that they hold and manage what new beers they will be kegging. Parking is not the greatest but it is not the worst either. Unfortunately no dogs are allowed but they have an outdoor patio that is covered where dogs can hang out. They also have other spirits if beers are not your thing

My husband and I have frequented this place since getting to know the owner. He is very knowledgeable about beer and whiskey and is willing to help you make decisions on what to try. It's relatively quiet on Sundays and a perfect place to watch football.

This place always serves the best and most interesting local beers in Kanas City. I’m a fan of their visual menu that shows how dark a beer is and how much is left in the keg. I wish every bar did that.TVs, plants, and big windows are the vibe and I’m here for it. It’s peaceful but it could use a little more entertainment in my opinion. I would recommend food trucks in the garage or live music sometimes.
