Don't tell anyone. This place is fantastic!!! Neighborhood italian masterpiece. Spiedeini di Pollo is the best in KC. My wife had the Lobster Spiedeini. Both came with saffron risotto. Tiramisu is to die for. This place has an atmosphere that is wonderful. Very intimate. Wine and drinks are great.

One of the very best restaurants in Kansas City. The service was extremely attentive and the food was exquisite.

Cozy atmosphere. We started off with the goat cheese and bread appetizer. The bread was sliced white bread from a bag, i.e. Wonder bread. The goat cheese was thin and flavorless except for what must have been paprika sprinkled on top. The chicken parmesan was bland and mediocre. Waite staff were attentive.

I had the eggplant Parmesan and tiramisu... the food was AMAZING. Best eggplant Parm I've ever had- perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with the marinara sauce providing a flavor bomb. Best tiramisu I've ever had, melted right in our mouths and had an airy texture. I'll be dreaming about the next time I can visit this place.

We had a great evening with the wine , food and exceptional staff. Jay the AGM helped make the dinner experience even better. For me the meals were hard to pick a standout as everyone loved their food but I must say the Lamb Chops were perfect.Just go and get in there!

I’ve been coming here since the early 2000’s and it remains my favorite restaurant in Kansas City. In 20+ years, not one single time have they let me down.

Our sever was great, but the food was underwhelming especially for the price. Much better plates in Kansas City for nearing on $200 (appetizer, 2 salads, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine). I was really disappointed as my expectations were high given the largely favorable reviews, even from people I know. The place is small, and while it could feel intimate in some seats, we were seated next to the door, so constant traffic throughout it our meal. The chicken in my pasta seemed like the frozen “blackened chicken strips” you can buy at the grocery store. Just meh.

My wife and I went here for a Valentine's dinner this week. Our server (unfortunately can't remember her name) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide on what meals to get. I got the veal piccata and my wife got the cannelloni. Both were excellent. Highly recommend for a date night.

We came for a birthday dinner and WOW! The food and service was amazing. The gelato ball had the most amazing flavor! Will certainly be back!

First time at this legendary place. The small space was packed and had a great vibe. We lived in Atlanta for several years and it reminded me of a Virginia-Highlands neighborhood restaurant. Our group of four loved everything we ordered. Three small Caesar salads (one with tasty anchovies). The steak soup was outstanding - delicious broth. The veal piccata was bright with lemon and capers. The chicken parm special was great. The orecchiette carbonara gorgonzola was rich and luscious. And the lamb chops were spectacular. We shared a slice of the chocolate decadence cake which capped off the meal perfectly. Our waiter suggested a $45 sangiovese cabernet that was an excellent value. A great evening.

Don't dine alone. Servers don't value you. I only knew of specials when distracted waiter tells couple at next table of them. Waiter then blamed me for choosing something off regular menu. My first time there and last.
