The food is really good always have been I haven't ate there in awhile and this was my first time eating at the one on 12th Street I got greens mash potatoes and gravy and cornbread I was cooking my own catfish at home after getting ready to eat my dinner the greens I said ummm you know how you might think you got one of the hard stems I took it out my mouth it was small pieces of black rubber I hate that cause I like there food it makes me not want to eat out anymore ?

This the worst meal i ever had. If you value your life stay away. SALTY, SALTY food is what is served espically the so called greens. SO SALTY I FELT MY BLOOD PRESSURE RISING JUST LOOKING AT THE FOOD. I informed management of the salty food they offered a replacement instead tasting food for themselves and retlmovingnit from the from the food options. It's so sad that they serve this food as soul food to people, its not right. ALL I WANTED WAS A GOOD SOUL FOOD MEAL BUT ALL I GOT WAS SALT FOR $20. Never ever again even if it was given to me free.

I haven’t eaten here in years and based on this last visit, not sure I’ll go back. The guy who fixed my to-go order seemed annoyed when I asked a question and was not friendly at all. My food was just okay overall. The lady who checked me out was not rude but wasn’t friendly either. I think people who work with the public need to realize it is okay to smile and greet customers.

Boeeeee lemme tell you sumn ? the smothered chops sweet potatoes mashed and greens? visiting from cali and my daddy swore he knew the spot? he did not disappoint ? definitely bringing my husband since he from Bama and know soul food ? blessings on this business and the hands that prepared this meal ??❤️
Stopped in for lunch at noon. Good lunch crowd.Went with Ms Frances which included 2 meats and 2 sides.Selected smothered pork chops and baked fish. Baked fish filet cut in half length wise for the portion being given. Smothered pork chop pieces or segments.More macaroni and cheese out in 5 minutes if you wanted to wait.The greens had discolored yellow leaves included. Thought those were usually separated in cleaning. Unappealing.Staff just serving it up as if there wasn't any concerns with the selections and sounded like they did not want to here about it. You either want it or you don't.Chicken wing discolored inside.Forget about the peach cobbler for the about you get.I understand we stand inflation and all but come on.Least to say disappointed and off list for future visits.

The atmosphere and service was spectacular. i came here with my 6 kids and they have been begging that we come back even though big bill my oldest got salmonella from the fried chicken and sadly pasted away the other week, sorry that my little Vanessa did a wee in the microwave.. but will be coming again ☺️ Your Mac and cheese was so good the best, but your corn on the cob was very dry and could use more salt.Kid-friendliness: The staff were so good with my kids, I nearly left them there for the whole day.
