Multiple plates were delivered that were not hot or even outrightly cold. They brought replacement dishes and comped those - meaning we still paid fully for cold food and having to wait for the second rounds (which were still really not hot). A more classy approach would have been to bring us properly heated dishes and actually comped one or more of the dishes.

I love Plate! I love that I can enjoy this restaurant as a vegetarian. Plenty of options. And when they have the lemon pasta on the menu do not skip it! 10/10

One of the nicest dining rooms I have ever seen anywhere. Can't wait to try the patio when the weather gets warm. Food is always amazing. BTW. They have a great happy hour at both locations (Leawood and Brookside).

We have been to Plate a few times and have come to the same conclusion - overpriced mediocre food. Our server was wonderful but the rest was uneventful until the expensive bill for 4 arrived. Unlikely to eve return.

We've been to Plate many times & have always enjoyed it, however they were a bit off during our last visit. Decided to stop for a quick lunch, & they weren't busy, but for some reason they were very slow. Finally when our food did arrive the brushetta was burnt. Our server offered to replace, we declined, ate it anyway & it was fine.The manager did bring us a replacement comp later which we had boxed to take home. We do appreciate that they did try to make it better & the eggplant parm was delicious as usual. We'll be back!
When we first went to plate we had an amazing server named hunter, we've tried to catch him when we continue to visit and we got lucky one night and they had sat us with him, he's good at conversation which helps us. his recommendations are always the best. We truly appreciate his attendance to water and checking in. I'm not the best at conversing with strangers I talk to little or too much and he's respectful with anyway we communicate. The food has never been bad and the garlic bread IS TO DIE FOR. Absolutely love this place! Would recommend for a date night!

The food was excellent. I had the Salmon..it was prepared with a sweet glaze, which was different but good. I believe they told us they grown the food the serve. Drinks were also very good.. great atmosphere, we dined on the patio.

We were a table of women who hadn't seen each other in a while so...a server's nightmare. Ours was SO good to us and understanding. She was attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable. Food was so good. Probably some of the best in KC in general but also price per portion was exactly what you want from a higher end restaurant. Atmosphere is modern and sexy, perfect for date night or bougie work dinner( or to talk too loud with a bunch of people you haven't seen in a while) . Also just know it is dark which really sets the mood so if you don't like that don't come here and complain. It's perfect!

It was so noisy that the 4 of us were unable to have a conversation. The pasta carbonara was too rich to eat. The other pastas were average. Sadly, wanted to love it but will not go back.
As we've come to expect, our dining experience at Plate was outstanding. Whether we are going for a full meal or just grazing, the food is always expertly prepared and delicious. Tonight was a "grazing" visit. A bottle of wine, the pepperoni pizza with a side of Brussel sprouts rounded out with meatballs, seemed like we covered all sides of the "food pyramid". All was delivered hot and tasty, except the wine :-). We were warmly greeted at the door by the host. Hunter, our waiter, was friendly knowledgable and attentive without being too attentive. He was a delight, good sense of humor and took excellent care of us. We plan to return very soon and look forward to warmer weather on the patio.

Excellent service and quality food. I am vegan and there was only one entree option and I'm not sure the pasta wasn't made without egg. Also ordered a side salad and although I didn't specify vegan for the salad (only for entree) it came with cheese.
