Looking for a dining experience that combines elegance, light lunch fare, and ample seating? Look no further than Rozelle Court in the Nelson Atkins Museum! A charming restaurant in the central courtyard of the museum. The food options are plentiful with allergen-friendly selections available and light pastries if you want something simple. You order from the cashier and find a spot with plenty of open seating. A server will bring your food, but you'll need to keep your water glass full at a watering station. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. I had their chicken taquitos with cilantro rice and hibiscus iced tea. My friend had a scone with tea and said the scone was flavorful and fluffy. I personally wouldn't go to Rozelle Court for the food but the entire experience. It's a welcome oasis after you've perused Nelson Atkins and leaves you refreshed to keep going. Cheers to good food, good company, and unforgettable moments!

I last visited Rozzelle on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and tried the Mojo Pulled Pork Sandwich. The serving was large and I considered getting a to go box. However, after my first bite... any thought of stopping was immediately put to rest. Everything was just so delicious! Service is phenomenal. The atmosphere is wonderful. If you haven't taken the opportunity to visit Rozzelle Court Restaurant, I most certainly encourage you to do so. It's in the Nelson Atkins Museum which itself is a treasure to behold.

What a lovely place to dine, definitely felt like I was in a European courtyard. One of a kind atmosphere! Food and service were good. Not a long wait. Definitely worth checking out if you are ever in midtown or at the museum itself.

It happened to be a busy day. Long line. They switched it around how you order. You pay in advance, and then go find a table. We were not served together, even though our table was one number. One had eaten completely before we other 3 were even served. The tomato bisque is yummy but it was cold. They ran out of monk fish on a Friday during lent. Ridiculous. The tuna entree was cold as if refrigerated, and coated in very spicy pepper. The dish had no flavor. This place used to be pretty good, not anymore. The service really bad, slow, no smiles, not knowledgeable about menu. We will not go back.

Beautiful spot to take a break from wandering the galleries or meet friends for lunch. Daily chef specials are available and the menu offers a combination of classic comfort with a sophisticated twist. Lunch combos are also offered. Don’t let the counter ordering fool you, once you make your selections, full table service is provided. Service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Oh yes, beer, wine, and mimosas are available. ?

Beautiful atmosphere and it alone is a good reason to dine here. Good service. Food is okay. Sandwiches have a lot of bread and are average. Not a large menu.

Party of ten. We met at the info desk then meander to the restaurant. FUEL sweet potato hummus & chips and blk current scone for dessert. Absolutely no complaints. ATMOSPHERE the courtyard had indulgent antique architecture with visually appealing details. Good space for mobility device. Look at the ceiling. SERVICE long line moved quickly. They provide utensils & number card. Staff helped me to the table. Altogether this is good vibes (I was a bit chilled, so bring a cardigan). I'd recommend for excellent food for families, girls groups, elders, tourists, first date or steady. Enjoy!

Eating here used to be fun, but not anymore. Waiting in line (for us over half an hour!) had all the charm of Burger King. Try the food line at San Quentin. Service was very bad - items forgotten or the wrong order brought. Food disappointing. The mac & cheese with four cheeses? I think four kinds of velveeta. It was gloppy and unappealing. Coffee was great!! It used to be cafeteria style - which was delightful as you could see what was offered. Now it is something more akin to fast food. Too bad they ruined it.

The chicken parm “chef’s special” was not good. The pasta on the chicken parm was tasteless. The chicken was seasoned nicely but shoe-leather tough. The breadstick was not fresh. The bean soup appetizer was labeled as “stew” but more like broth. The breaded mac and cheese tasted like it was Kraft, boxed macaroni and cheese. The bourbon peach and rosemary cake was really good. The service was prompt and polite. This beautiful space is unlike anything else in KCMO.The food, is absolutely forgettable. What a shame.

I was visiting the Nelson Adkins Museum in Kansas City and decided to have lunch in the museums Rozzelle Court. There was a decent array of food on the menu and all the dishes sounded very good. I chose a chefs special, eggs Benedict, my date chose the turkey sandwich on pumpernickel bread, both choices were excellent. A lot of people do not realize that the museum has the restaurant, it is a hidden gem. I recommend going and if you're lucky, occasionally they have a string quartet playing while you eat.

Has nice food. It can get busy, though: the last time I visited had a 45 minute wait to get an order, but this was when they also had a line of people waiting to order all the way to the entry door.

Takes forever to prepare the foods. Half of the employees are not actively working. A museum restaurant should be efficient
