Exciting atmosphere. Greeted very well. I just thought I would get more for my dollar. But if you go two hours before they close you will not probably be able to get a fair portion for your price. They were out of everything besides oxtail. Being it was towards the end of the day you will not get what you thought you were coming in for and they did not try to compensate for their lack of menu items. I do understand if they running out they obviously have good food. But Sheesh I wanna eat too. But this being my second time here and getting the same portions. I'm good on returning. I'll make my own.

The food is so delicious, the atmosphere is homey, and the people are so nice there. This was my first time trying Jamaican food. I got the oxtails dinner and the brown stewed chicken entree. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Chef's kiss

First time at Sankofa cafe, Ms. Rita was very nice. The food was good spicy like I like it. I got the Mattie plate which is 3 meats and 2 sides. So I got jerk chicken curry, chicken and oxtails with red beans and rice and a salad. I will be going back. I like ??

I got a mixed plate. Oxtail, with jerk chicken and curry chicken and although the jerk and curry chicken doesn't have the normal flavor profile I'm used to but it was packed with flavor next time I go back I'm getting extra gravy and I will be going back.
