Nice spot. There are some good baristas here who can make a wonderful drink. The owner is also a very friendly guy who I enjoyed meeting. Atmosphere is open and clean. Definitely would recommend stopping here if you get the chance.

I went ahead and did an online order for pickup. Iced americanos were really good. ? Breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy were a hit.

Love this location! The food is yummy, coffee is well made and service is friendly and fast. The barista, Abby, took care of us and made us feel at home. Will definitely be back to see her and have another mocha made by her! She was very knowledgeable about coffee and made great suggestions.Highly recommend this little cafe.I do want to add- I really wish they served decaf espresso. I would get a drink in the afternoons if so. I find it odd they don’t offer it!

The best breakfast burrito in town. My favorite is their potato burrito. Ask them to cut it into half and sear it. So gooooood!

Love the coffee but there have been multiple occasions now where I walk in like at least 2 hours before they close and they have stopped selling food. Kind of annoying since I walk there from work and since there’s nothing else immediately nearby I go back to work empty-handed and with no lunch. What’s the point of saying you close at 4 when you stop selling food 3 hours ahead of time.

Good coffee, friendly staff and fair prices. Walked here from a local hotel multiple times during our weeks stay for work grabbing a morning coffee and breakfast burrito.

An abundance of equally valid coffee shops dot the downtown Kansas City landscape however, it should be noted that not all are created equal when it comes to food. And Spokes goes above and beyond to provide substantial breakfast and lunch options at an affordable price tag. A vague bike theme is carried on throughout the cafe but, not to fear if you are unsteady on two wheels because Spokes welcomes everyone. The industrial inside of the spacious coffee shop has a paired down vibe that is relaxed and perfect for a laid back meeting or casual family breakfast. Last Sunday my family enjoyed the latter and we all were happy with our choice from the small but mighty breakfast menu. There are a few options of breakfast burritos that are pre-wrapped so no substitutions are available, but the ingredients contained in the burritos are simple and don't include anything that picky eaters would find repulsive. Also, on the menu are some freshly assembled sandwiches on sourdough in which you can choose from the vegetarian options of avocado or tomato and spinach or bacon as your protein. There are a few other variations of sandwiches such as the waffle sandwich but, no one in our group tried that this time. So, I can only speak for the burritos and sandwiches at Spokes and both came in under $8 and were filling and tasty. My dad and my brother both decided to munch on burritos for their breakfast while my mom and I opted for a classic sandwich on farm to market sourdough. The quality was great for the pice and we all enjoyed the complimentary serve yourself hot sauce bar inside the cafe, as well as the addition of the to-go containers with then choice of a little spice for the road. My dad said the chorizo was flavorful but not too spicy and my brother devoured his bacon burrito. My mom and I also went with different variations of the same thing, myself sticking with vegetarian for the morning meal and my mom following in my brother's footsteps with a classic bacon breakfast sandwich. The amount of eggs included was impressive for the price and I was comfortably full after my meal. I absolutely adored the adding of the dijonaise to the breakfast sandwich making for a slightly creamy bite, my brother not so much, he was a little startled when my mom offered him a bite and he chomped into a wet pocket of bread slathered with two things he isn't too fond of- Dijon mustard and mayo...whoops. But, in the end all four of us concluded that our respective meals at Spokes deserved a shining 5 out of 5 review. Do what the window says from outside of Spokes and support local when you can, this is a tucked away coffee shop that I don't hear spoken about too much, and Spokes deserves to be spoken about more so here I am telling you to give it a try and you won't regret it

This place is a real gem! It’s close to my job, so very convenient. But the food is fresh, healthy, and tasty. That’s important to me. But, the service is awesome! They treat everyone with respect and a friendliness that is becoming hard to find. This is worth your time to stop by. I’m sure you’ll be back!! Thanks, Spokes folks, for all your work and service!
