The atmosphere is great, the food was amazing, and cocktails were delicious! We ordered four dishes to share between two of us which was filling (they recommend 4 to 5). The food did take longer than expected to come out, but their customer service is unmatched!Dietary restrictions: They ask when you sit down if you have any dietary restrictions. They then mark the menu with which dishes to avoid.

Amazing food and impeccable service! Atmosphere is nice, but the restaurant runs cold, which takes away from the experience. The seats by the windows are the worst.

If you need a place to impress someone, have a date night, or just a cozy comforting meal, Antler Room is THE place. Every dish is a slice of heaven, and the homemade pasta is to die for. The staff and atmosphere are always warm and inviting. GO... any chance you get!

My wife took me here for my birthday and let me tell you, it was a GIFT. Along with friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, the food was truly unique and outstanding. Our server was very helpful in explaining the shareable portions and providing recommendations. They have a great wine and cocktail list as well (I had a delicious beer too). To eat, we had the cauliflower, braised lamb filled cappelleti, spinach & four cheese panzotti, duck confit, and spaghetti. Each one was a fantastic adventure in flavor and ingredients. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think my favorite flavor came from the spaghetti. If you’re looking for a unique fine dining experience, The Antler Room is an absolute must.

Amazing atmosphere with great food. All the dishes we ordered were seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. I liked how food weren't soaked in dressings or sauce. You can still taste the freshness of the ingredients.

Ok, this place is amazing! We’ve eaten at many places across the U.S. and internationally, and The Antler Room does not disappoint. It’s a tiny place with few tables (& street parking), but that is what makes it so intimate, like dining at a gourmet friend’s house. We sat at the bar for the second time, and both times, Chris took exceptional care of us. He helped us with recommendations of the best dishes as well as drink pairings. Our favorites tonight (the menu changes) were the focaccia, the goat capellini, and the pound cake for dessert. Drew recommended all of them and also made sure it was actually decaf in the delicious French press. Wonderful second trip to The Antler Room!

We ordered five dishes for the two of us that piqued our interest at the Antler Room, and each successive course was worse than the last. We do not recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for intriguing new foods- an ethnic restaurant will serve you better.Every single dish featured ingredient choices that resulted in poorly contrasting and minimal complementary flavors to the main ingredient in the dish, the meat in the dishes that had it was overcooked, and for our final dish we were left wondering whether the kitchen knew how to make duck confit or just deep fried the duck for a bit. After the final course left us hungry as it was less appetizing than intentionally fried bird (on top of previous dishes we chose not to finish due to the aforementioned issues), we realized that our initial impression upon sitting down at our table- that this was a restaurant attempting, clumsily, to imitate fine dining- was entirely accurate, at least regarding what was served. The kitchen was tasked with cooking with strange ingredients, without any guidance on appropriate flavors or preparation, and what they came up with was not worth what we paid.

We went to the Antler room on the basis of a number of positive reviews online, and had high hopes coming in.The initial impression we got of the Antler Room when we walked in was a restaurant attempting to be fine dining, but slightly confused. This turned out to be a much more accurate impression than we expected. The dishes we had were - Grilled House Focaccia, Squid Ink Radiatore, Spinach and Four Cheese Panzotti (with escargot), Grilled Spanish Octopus, and Duck Confit. The Focaccia can be described in a word - bland. None of the ingredients had a chance to shine, and while not unpleasant, I would expect better in many cafes, let alone a restaurant at this price point. The Squid Ink pasta was tasty by itself, but was combined with a mix of confused flavours that did not complement it, and served with severely overcooked prawn and squid. The Panzotti was uninteresting, with poorly prepared escargot to complement. It was only more than bland when compared to the focaccia, but still much lower quality than expected. The Octopus was where the meal really took a turn for the worse, as the octopus was overcooked to the point of being borderline inedible, both rubbery and stringy, and was for some reason served with poorly contrasting marinade and sides. The duck confit was, as had become a theme, also overcooked. The resulting meat was tough and chewy rather than tender, feeling almost more like it had been deep-fried, rather than confit. It was also served with an incredibly mild spinach paste, that failed entirely to complement the strong oily savoury flavour of the fried duck.In the end we didn't even finish the five plates between us, and went to a much nicer place across town for our dessert. If you go, I sincerely hope that you have a better experience. We were taken in by the positive reviews for this place, but I would have been unhappy with our food at any price. There are definitely better restaurants in Kansas City, I suggest you do not waste your time here.

Our favorite place in KC. So so good! We love to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen in action.

I was not impressed. Out of the 9 dishes, I really enjoyed two of them, 5 were forgettable, and 2 were terrible. Water was served room temp (shudders). Staff were nice. Restaurant was in a cool location. Had jackrabbits, so points for that.
