Our waitress was very nice and made sure we had what we needed. The food was delicious! I had the breakfast burrito and sweet potato fries. We started out with the fried green tomatoes which were also very good. If you're looking for a great place to eat in downtown KC I would highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first time experience at Homesteader! I ordered the breakfast where you can pick 4 items for $13. I selected 2 eggs, sausage, red potatoes and a slice of French toast. I could tell the sausage was made here! Delicious flavors! Hubby ordered a Smoky burger which he enjoyed. The fries are hand cut. They were cut a little too thin for him. He would have liked more of a steak fry, but that's a personal preference. 9/10 would recommend! Also, remember to get your parking validated if you park in the lot across the street to avoid charges!

Noon on Sunday. Every table full. Definitely a happening place. My eggs Benedict with fried green tomato instead of ham was awesome. Amazing taste and texture. Wish there'd been more hollandaise sauce though. Do make reservations! We had.

Our waitress at Homesteader was very kind and funny. She was awesome! The mimosas were good, and so was the fried tomato appetizer. The vegetarian burrito was kind of gross and super wet (if you’re into wet and bland burritos, you might like it). My boyfriend enjoyed chicken and waffles. The fried tomatoes were the best part of the meal, by far! I think this place was good overall, but I would not recommend the vegetarian burrito?Parking: You have to get your parking validated if you park at the lot across the street

This was one of the best places we've eaten in Downtown. My parents are from the south and have never enjoyed the food up here in KC. I brought them here and every food they tried was "The best they've had in years." Highly recommend.

I have been here a few times, and it's perfectly adequate (not a ringing endorsement, I know). We used to frequent this place for the bottomless mimosa brunch but as of my most recent visit, the bottomless option is no longer on the menu. They do still have several mimosa options, including by the carafe or a 'flight'.The vibe is nice, fun neon signs on the wall and huge windows with tons of natural light. There aren't a ton of vegan options, but they at least have something and vegan brunch in KC isn't the easiest thing to come by.Vegetarian options: Has a vegan breakfast burrito, and a few other clearly-labeled vegetarian dishes.

Tasty sweet potato hash with eggs over easy and bread pudding “starter”. The bread pudding was a little like a coffee cake and could have been better if it was a little more moist. The service was friendly, and it’s clearly a popular local place with a relaxed vibe.

So good! Great gem in KC, listen for the specials, WORTH it! The Bison Gravy was AMAZING treat to the soft and fluffy biscuits! Pancakes were super fluffy and beyond delicious! Cinnamon roll "appetizer" was the best idea ever for us!

Our server was very nice and attentive. However, it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks.. the espresso martini's came out about 15 minutes after ordered then it took another 10 minutes for the remaining drinks to come out...it was a beer and mimosa flight. The beer was skunked and they did replace it. Food was average. Cute décor/aesthetic. Overall, just meh.
